Bormioli Rocco Misura Wine Carafe, 8- 1/2 Ounces

Got this for my dad for fathers day. He had a smaller carafe to hold his homemade wine, but it cracked. So i got him the 17oz carafe, he loves it. Came in a secure package, no cracks and no scratches. Very happy with this product.

I bought four of these half-liter carafes, and they are great. Made in Italy, they look exactly like the carafe that would appear on your table if you ordered a "mezzo-litro" of the house chianti at a little Italian bistro. I bought them as an easy way to measure and decant a half bottle of wine in the evening. Granted, that's not a half liter, but if you pour until just below the "MEZZO LITRO" text on the carafe, it equals 375 ml. They also look great lined up on the kitchen counter or on a shelf in dining room. I can't speak to the durability, but the glass is thick and seems strong. Great buy for the price!

Okay - so the truth is that we are looking for ways to cut calories without giving up everything we like, including an evening glass of wine while cooking dinner and unwinding from the day. Problem is, that one glass tends to become two which tends to become even more. These small carafes look great, and they have a clear line on the neck which indicates the 1/4 litre mark (just slightly more than 8 ounces.) We each pour our wine for the evening in a carafe and the big bottle goes back in the fridge. Maybe it's hokey, but it seems to work and at the very least, makes us more accountable. A drawback is that you have to buy a dozen at once, but they are inexpensive and you'll likely use more of them than you might think. These also look like they have good party potential for something special, but we haven't figured that one out yet.

The opening to this carafe is wider and bigger than I'd like (from an aesthetics point of view), but it's good, thick quality glass, looks good, and pours well. Will hold about 3/4 a bottle of wine before you hit the narrow neck portion, which impedes aeration. A good, casual carafe for every day use with one bottle of wine.

Great carafes that remind me of italy. I love how they say "mezzo" on them (Italian for half) and they are the perfect size if you are 2 people and will only have 1.5 glasses of wine each. These are half litre bottles.Very sturdy and identical to the ones you find in italian restaurants.When I came back from a trip to Italy I looked for things like this to use in my home and these were a great way to bring a touch of Italy back to me and my meals.

Doesn't turn water into wine, but looks very nice. I use as a water pitcher on my desk, or sangria on the patio. Classic glass company, durable and easy to clean.

It’s 17 ounces, not 33 ounces. Half liter. The item description says 33 ounces. It’s a tiny little bottle. Returning.

It is just the right size. The logo is raised, not etched, so it will never fade. That is what I wanted so I can use it as a marker and don't have it fade after a while. Seems to be of high quality.
