NicorLighting 6 inch White Recessed Shower Trim with Albalite Lens (17505)

We purchased these to put on older high hats in the kitchen to give a more finished look than having the light bulbs showing with space between the bulb and the sides of the holes in the ceiling. I am so glad we did! The ceiling looks much more polished. The light is still just as bright, and the cover did not change the color or tone of the lighting at all.They were extremely easy to install and went on in less than 2 minutes each (not counting the time it took me to find a ladder). It is simply a matter of removing the bulb, removing the old rim, replacing the bulb, then putting this in by sticking the metal parts into the can and pushing the rim up.They were more cost-effective by far than what was available in my local big box store, so we are very happy with this purchase

Fits tightly to the ceiling and much less than comparable models.

I just replaced a flimsy plastic cover that cracked and these make a world of difference. No longer do I worry about breaking the cover to replace a bulb. Sturdy metal with a glass lens. I also replaced the existing bulb in my fixture with an LED 60 watt bulb as suggested. Brighter and produces less heat. I wish that I had replaced the cheap plastic one years ago. Good value. Easy installation. Took 5 minutes.

It a minimalist light, metal frame and the glass seems a bit on the thin side compared to my original one. The light was very easy to install (1 minute total). A couple of issues though: first, the glass is a bit too flat on the interior and if it curved it would be better (it touches the lightbulb which is a safety issue; I can't further recess the lightbulb/need a shorter bulb). Second, the bulb doesn't come with instructions (besides the images shown in Amazon) which I think would be helpful for some and should include safety precautions and include information stating the water resistance.

Trim ring in bathroom shower was 23yrs old and had to change out the bulb. The plastic ear on the trim ring that the spring attaches to broke on one side so now it won't stay up to the ceiling fully. Good luck getting one at Lowes or Depot. I ordered this and it arrived next day and it was cheaper than ordering one from the box stores. This one came and is NOT the cheap plastic trim ring. Nice metal one with a glass center that stays in place in the ring and won't fall out when you have to take it down. Very nice product and fit perfectly the first time. I may order another one just to have on hand for when the one in my other bathroom breaks.
