Hans Butane Gas Canister

The gas canister seems good. Not pure butane but with added iso-butane and propane as well which is what is required as pure butane is highly flammable. You might want to go for a propane only canister if you are using it in very cold temperatures. They have added a little mercaptan for odour to detect in case of a leak. The net weight of the canister was around 350 gm so hopefully it should contain 250 gm gas as labeled. Haven't used a full can yet, but my guess is it should last at least two hours on minimum flame. It mostly gave out blue flame with occasional bursts of red/yellow flame but I suppose that is the case with all brands, you won't get pure gas. It has a 4 mm pin nozzle of metal so you cannot use it directly onto refill a gas lighter as they smaller pins, buy a plastic adapter locally. If you use it for brazing, buy one of those flame torches online from elsewhere as it is overpriced here. Use the flame torch with care, they leak gas if fitted improperly and also the head isn't of great quality. The seller shipped the product soon enough through India Post as a Registered Parcel (non Air) due to the hazardous nature of the substance. Overall I'm satisfied.

The cylinder wuality and gas probably are good but seller should have included a set of plastic adapters to feed various nozle sizes of gas lighters etcIn absence of that attempt to transfer gas results in liquid leakage and soiling and possibility of accident this all could have bedn avoided by adding a simple plastic ring of various size adapters which eont cost a fortune to manufacturer and also to buyer in case company wanted to charge little extra that would have been an easier and logical thingHaving said above I must add a final note about extraordinarily good conduct of the seller when I COntacted Ad Ventura India there was prompt reply and they effectively troubleshot the issues i had Thanks Amazon and Thanks Ad Ventura

Absolutely love it! Compact, lightweight, beautiful build to finish. Fits perfectly in blowers and stoves. Bought it to melt snow on alpine climb for drinking water, worked great!

I TRIED MY LEVEL BEST TO FIT THE CANNISTER IN THE STOVE BUT THERE WAS A LEAK WHICH COULD NOT BE IDENTIFIED AND WHEN STOVE WAS TURNED ON A BIG FLAME COVERED THE COMPLETE STOVE AND I HAD TO SWITCH OFF THE STOVE AND DOUSE THE FLAMES IMMEDIATELY WITH CLOTH.NO MAJOR ACCIDENT TOOK PLACE EXCEPT HAIR ON HAND SKIN BURNT.PROPER INSTRUCTION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CUSTOMERS OR THERE IS A FIRE PROBLEM NEAR THE STOVE.

We used it in ladakh at an elevation of 4000 meters and it worked like a charm. Very easy to install and operated. Flame quality if also very good. Cooking food with it is same and cooking with LPG gas at home.

The gas cans are all good but what i dont like is their exclusivity for the hans burner. They're made in a way that no other gas cans would fit the burner than hans and hans gas cans are freakin expensive! I'd suggest to keep an empty hans gas can and take it with you when you go out to shop for other brand cans. Match their shape and size and see if other brand gas cans fit well.

Refilling nozal is of different size, cant be for refilling cigarette lighter etc, only can be used can stove.
