Great addition to the kitchen
The colour is nice and it is easy to store on the top of the fridge. It is the right size for 3/34people. I like that it's easy to use and easy to clean as the pot can go in the dishwasher. It has temperature option for both high and low.It works exactly as I'd hoped. And uses less energy than the cooker/hob.I can't wait to use it to cook more good quality tasty meals! It also came with a cookbook!

A very nice bit of retro kitchen kit.
Really very good. Simple electrics makes for less to go wrong. The single control rotator switch is plastic and feels cheep to the touch leaving a sensation of hoping it doesn't break. Even an anodised aluminium material would be better material, but only time will tell. The cooking capabilities are fabulous. It does what it does well, with style. I usually only cook meat in the slow cooker but on a couple of occasions I've put root vegetables in after a few hours of slow. They come out wonderfully partial cooked, which, for me, tastes better. However I mainly cook veg separately for the fresh taste of that particular type of veg rather than stewing everything together. In a slow cooker doing everything together usually turns the veg to mush and the mixed tast is overwhelming, hence I usually cook veg separately. This slow cooker is much better quality overall than others I've had. The 3 settings are: 'off, 'fast and 'slow', there is no timer. Heat stems from around the sides instead of from below, so nothing gets burnt or stuck, if over cooked. The oval food pot is a heavy stoneware/porcelain and fits tight into the lighter, elevated, cooker base.Complimentary but suttle retro design to other appliances in the 1950's range, this is a nice bit of practical kitchen kit.

Perfect addition to my kitchen
As a family of two, my partner and I were on the lookout for a kitchen appliance that would suit our needs without being excessively large. That's when we found this slow cooker, and it's ideal for us.We initially chose it because it matches the look of our kitchen. But it works perfectly too. What I particularly appreciate about this slow cooker is its size. It's compact enough for our small family, yet spacious enough to prepare meals that last for multiple servings. This means less time cooking and more time enjoying delicious, home-cooked meals. The simplicity of the controls is another winner. It's very user-friendly, making it a great choice for anyone, regardless of their cooking skills. The low feature is a lifesaver, especially on days when our schedules don't align perfectly.Cleaning up is also hassle-free. The pot is removable and easy to clean, and it doesn't retain smells – a common issue with previous slow cookers. It's efficient, easy to use, and a beautiful addition to any kitchen. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to enhance their cooking experience with minimal effort.

Larger than it looked in the photo - this is a good thing!
I was worried about the cream colour being very caramel in tone, but that is just the photo. It is a deep cream, but lighter than the photo indicates. The first one arrived damaged, which was disappointing, as others had said the same. It does make me wonder why they are not checked before they go out, as the packaging was very robust and undamaged when it arrived. The returns process is excellent. The replacement arrived the next morning, and I have a good amount of time to return the damaged one. So that was good. The 3.5 litre retro cream version is what I bought. It looks like a very generous size, and I should be able to follow some of the recipes in the National Trust Slow Cooker recipe book, which use the slow cooker as a Bain Marie to make things like coddled eggs and Parkin. Yummmm. The handles initially look sturdy, as I had been concerned by other reviews. However on examination they do look they need a little care in use just in case. The knob is also a little light in moving round which feels a little flimsy but this is a minor comment, and probably I am being a bit sceptical, due to other reviews.Having said that, I think it will be an excellent addition to the kitchen, and I am just about to make pork in cider for my supper this evening. It is also attractive enough to leave out, to encourage use rather than stashing it away and then it gets to malinger in the back of a cupboard. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Great for batch cooking
Exactly what I needed to help with my batch cooking. So easy snd convenient. There is a recipe book including but found it a bit old fashioned. Very easy to find recipes online or cook your usual one pot, casserole or stewing dishes in this without adjustment. So pleased I ordered one for my mother-in-law. As they are so popular and at a good price, be prepared to wait on back order delivery times.
