So this is not going to be in the same league as real lederhosen, but it does look nice and holds up well to a lot of abuse. I purchased a size medium pair (I'm 6'0, 190lbs, size 32/33 waist) and ran a 10K Oktoberfest race. I wore full compression (shirt, shorts) underneath and ran the race averaging a 7:00 pace. I was worried about wardrobe malfunctions, but not a single stich was ripped - they held up great and will be ready to do it again next year. The tights have no runs in them and that race was a lot of abuse.A few folks mentioned the hat looking a bit goofy, and with some experimentation and shaping, it doesn't look that bad. Even managed to stay on for the duration of my run which surprised me as I wasn't sure if it would stay put.

The costume overall served its purpose. My boyfriend and I went as a German couple for a Halloween party and he wore this. It looks exactly like the picture!Sizing: just as many other reviews have stated, the costume is very big and you will need to size down 1/2 or 1 whole size approximately. My boyfriend wears a Large in everything and a 33/32 in pants, is 6' 2" and 180 lbs and we ordered a Medium and it fit almost perfectly!The suspenders on the shorts are not adjustable and therefore we couldn't fix the shorts so that they weren't pulled up as high as they were...this left his, um, man parts almost inappropriate looking and slightly awkward/uncomfortable for him. The size of the shorts themselves was great! The material is a tad bit thin and in some lightly could almost be see-through but we were in a dark garage and it was fine. The material feels "costume-like" as you would expect but not uncomfortable.The hat is as everyone has said - wrinkled and a little bit awkward, but we pressed it with an iron as best as possible and he wore it and it looked good.The shirt is very thin and the material "costume-like" as you would expect but a tad bit more silky, and the ribbon on it is cheap but what do you expect for such a cheap costume? You can substitute it with a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to your elbows to get the same effect.The socks are a bit thin but he wore a pair underneath to keep his feet warm at the garage party we were at. They were also a lot shorter than it shows in the picture but it worked out either way.Overall definitely worth the $26.30 we paid for it! Great costume and went well with mine! :)

The media could not be loaded. Okay for the price. This materials so it's okay to wear it when it's hot outside. See through so make sure your man wears boxers or whatever he prefers under it. The straps is not adjustable. The hat is flimsy so he's not going to wear it. Socks is a very thin material so you might want to get a regular socks to wear with it. My husband is about 158 lbs, 6ft and wears a size 32 in pants and medium shirts. BTW...I got this through AMAZON not from WISH. Hubby wanted to make this video funny....lol

Like several others who posted here, I also received a used costume. The packaging was torn; the shirt bore stains and signs of color transfer where it rubbed against the pants during previous use; and the socks have distinct discoloration outlining the previous owner's heel and ball of the foot, from extended wear. In addition, the socks have longer black hairs (cat or labrador?) and shorter brown hairs (human leg hair?) that were worked in among the fibers.Disappointed. It is not the end of the world, but if I choose to pay a premium for new, I expect to receive it.Pants are wide in the waist and sewn straps are short in the torso - so the waistline bunches up to give the straps more length. As others have said, the hat is too small to actually fit on the head. The shirt seems fine.

This review of the Bavarian Boy costume, is for college students or young adults. It comes in different sizes, it has a unique quality and it is for those on a budget.The costume comes in three different types of sizes small, medium and large. How you determine which size to get is based on pants size. When trying on the outfit it may occur to you the socks slide down too much or the shirt is too big. The shirt is supposed to be a little loose, so it will be a little free in the arm when dancing. The socks do have the tendency to slide down often when, jumping, dancing or walking to fast.This costume is stylish and can make you look like a true Bavarian Boy. It is comfy and smooth. The shirt is almost like a silk feeling and the pants also have a thin silk feeling. However, if you plan on being outside on a cold day or night it will not keep be warm enough. I would recommend wearing something under the shirt and possibly warmer socks. If dancing is on the agenda or trying to be flexible you will want to be careful because the material may rip. I wore it two days in a row and by the end of the second day I had a hole on the side of the pants (easily sewed back up) and one of the straps ripped off (again easily sewn back on). Because of the low-price the material is not durable when doing more than standing, walking or sitting.For the people who are living on a budget it is an inexpensive costume that you do not have to make. It was very convenient and arrived on time before the weekend started. Other Bavarian Boy costumes may be too expensive because they are trying to be more authentic. Then there is a T-shirt that has straps printed on them, and that does not look good. If you want something that looks like a real Bavarian Boy, and paying for an authentic one is out of the price range. Then this is a great choice.In general this costume works. Easy to find the right size, and not going to hurt the wallet. Hopefully this review has helped in making your decision.
