Pretty good
The information is good but I just don’t like the way the book is bound. It doesn’t stay open when I’m playing and had to break the spine to keep it open. Would be better if the book was spiral bound.

50-50
So it is not spiral bound like the product description states, which was a key selling point for me. However, I do like the size and how I can just toss it in my case or bag and go.

Very detailed well made easy to carry around.
I liked that it was slightly smaller than a normal “ something for Dummies “ book. It is also very detailed with all the guitar cords one could imagine and is made like a spiral composition book. Easy to carry around in a coat pocket. Very well done. Thank you for allowing me to comment.

Exactly what it says.
What I liked about this item is it’s straight forward, you cannot go wrong if you’re a beginner like me. A very good book to have for those lessons .

Not For Beginners
I am sure this is a good book for established guitar players, but it is not for beginners like me. I thought it would start with the basic chords and progress to more advanced chords. Trying to decipher this made my head explode. No doubt, it’s a very detailed book and surely valuable for most, but if you are a beginner with even a basic chord knowledge it may be too technical for you. I would guess this is more intermediate level. That being said, I gave it three stars as it is very detailed and it would help the intermediary player I would think.

Even great for non-dummies
I've been playing folk and rock guitar for a few decades; but when I started playing with a Latin jazz band, I turned to websites and Youtube videos for coaching on fingerings of all these new augmented, 7-flat-5, sharp-9 chords, etc. That can be a pain, and I wanted a one-stop fingering shop. This book is quite good. It doesn't contain fingering for every chord - but it contains multiple variations of many important ones. It's a great help for me. And the spiral binding is convenient: it sits open, hands-free - just as someone with two hands on a guitar would wish.

The book is simple detailed and easy to read and understand.

Not in wire format..
Photo and description states:“ Includes a convenient lay-flat (wire bound) format, allowing users to easily try out new chords ”The product is a normal bound book style. You can’t lay it flat. Other than that the book is what it says it is..

Guitar for dummys
If this book is for dummys, I must be even thicker. It is so complicated, hard to understand. Not for beginners like me. Just shows you every chord on the frets. And that's it. My suggestion is watch YouTube videos, you will learn alot more than in this book.

Very Comprehensive
This book will show you how to play every chord you're ever likely to need and a few more besides. Looking through it at the start, it can seem quite confusing and the huge amount of chords it contains can seem a little off-putting, and yes, looking at the family names and roots and so on can be quite daunting; indeed, some can seem more complex than an algebra equation, especially for a novice like myself, but a little bit theory never did anyone any harm. And besides, if push comes to shove, you don't really need to know about or understand the roots and so on. If you know what a chord is, then this book is pretty much the only one you'll need for the sheer number of chords it features. The main thing here is that there is a chord diagram and a photo illustration of each and every of the 600+ plus chords in the book. And it is these that are the main purpose of the book. They show where to place your fingers, the open strings and which strings need to be strummed to get the right note. Of course, the natural limitation of the book is that it doesn't show you how to actually play guitar, merely how to finger position the chords, so don't buy it expecting to learn how to play. Well worth the £7 I paid as it is proving to be an indispensable guide to the chords.

Handy little chord reference, great value.
I'd bought this as a present for an adult beginner and liked it so much I got one for myself. Clear photos and good theory reference. I've had many chord books over the last fifty years and now everything is on-line, but I think this is excellent value and would recommend.

Superb guide showing every chord you are likely to encounter
This is an extremely good guide to guitar chord finger placements. There is a lot of technical detail which may be of interest to people who want to learn more about chord formations but that does not have to be read. Most people will use this book simply to see finger positions of unusual chords they need and for that this book is perfect. It fits well inside most guitar cases.
