These are super nice. I've never used a sponge filter like this before. I have oranda goldfish in the tank I'm using this in and they absolutely love it. Their tank no longer smells "fishy". I will definitely continue using these instead of the hanging filter for these guys. They love playing in the bubbles it makes too. Very nice.

We use these to supplement an FX6 filter in our 150 gallon tank. Really it’s to keep the water crystal clear. We bought a 3 pack and a single. Hooked them to a big air pump and along with putting polyfill in the filter it keeps the water crystal clear in my tank.

I washed them in water before use, and then put them in the aqurium. When I pull them out to wash periodically it is evident that they are filtering the water. I have purchased a few of these now and intent to keep buying them when I need them.

After comparing, these were the largest for the price, and have a heavy base which elevate sponge portion from the floor so there is no bottom debris accumulation like I had with other sponge filters, but the best part was the sponge porous size was able to clarify the water very well and I was very surprised at just how well it filtered, plus the bubbles was nicely separated inside without the usage of any air stone. Other sponge filters I had created noisy blobs of air. These units disperse the air into smaller bubbles nicely. Just the best sponge filters I used so far.

Excellent filters! Washable. These should last a typical hobbyist about 2-3 years. Love these
