Do It!

I checked this book /CD out of the library, and finally had to buy my own copy! I used this to bone up on my recorder playing before teaching my children. I was having so much fun, my kids couldn't wait to start! There are tracks on the CD that you can play along with, using the book. You can choose either playing along with the whole song, or just the harmony. I like the fact that you can use the book with the music(without a parent present) and have a complete program for your child. We have had a lot of fun with this, and the kids have learned a lot!

Very helpful to learn recorder with. Takes you through all the steps, using pictures, finger placements, and simple songs to start with. Really like that it came with a CD to hear and get an idea of what and how to play. Recommend.

I bought this based on other reviews when searching for a book to use as part of our homeschooling music education. This was not a book of basics in my opinion. I needed a starter book for kids. This wasn't it. I ended up using YouTube tutorials which works amazingly well.

This is a fantastic resource. I used it many years ago and am delighted with this. I use it with my beginner recorder group and they love it.
