Super Sculpting II Workout

I wanted to try something new so I ran across these Bar Method videos and started researching the exercises. I really like that these workouts work muscles that don't always get such intense attention. I thought I was in pretty good shape but I can't always finish the sets because they really start to hurt. Yeah, I'm a wimp and I have a low pain threshold. I built a barre in my office/yoga room with a closet rod and shelf brackets and it's very sturdy for the workouts in the videos. I also have a mat & pillow from my yoga workouts and hand weights from my upper body workouts. The only equipment I don't have in the 7" ball. I can already see my husband rolling his eyes when I pick out a playground ball for yet another type of workout. If you haven't tried this type of workout and you need variety to keep motivated I highly suggest The Bar Method videos. It's not cardio so if you like to bounce around and work up a sweat, you probably won't like this workout. If you're like me and just want to be stronger and firmer and more flexible, you'll like this. There's a chapter that shows you how to do all the moves that is very helpful when you do the actual workout. It's a little hard to remember to tuck, have a flat back, bend a little at the knee, etc. all at the same time but if you watch the instructions first without trying to keep up it's easier to remember while doing the workout. Some comments about the videos say it's too easy or boring. I say, make the moves more challenging as you get more fit.One more thing I'd like to add. About 6 months ago I started having heel pain so I bought shoes and creams for pain and compression socks for heel spurs and plantar fasciitis. The products all help when I use them but in barefeet the pain is back. Since I started doing the workouts the pain has been greatly reduced. I think it's the moves where I'm standing on my toes (actually the balls of my feet). I had been trying exercises that stretch my calves for the past month after I saw a youtube video and that would help for awhile. If you have heel pain, try these workouts. It's a lot cheaper than all the special shoes and creams I've been buying.

I went to a pure barre class in Cincinnati, OH and absolutely loved it. However, I didn't love the prices. I bought this DVD after reading another review on here that said it was amazing. Sure enough, I'm in love! I have noticed a big difference in 4 weeks! My jeans didn't fit we'll during the holidays in the waist, and now they are perfect! Oh and that was just after 4 classes. I must admit though, I am a bit of a health nut, so I eat pretty well. You won't get good results if you do the bar method then run to McDonald's afterwards. That being said, the DVD is fantastic and the only one I will do at home. Other at home workouts make me bored. But this one, you really have to focus on your form and what you're doing. And you WILL be sore after this and hurt in places you never knew you had. It's totally worth it though. I must also mention that this DVD is MUCH much cheaper at the bar method website (sorry Amazon).

I loved the workout in this DVD although it was short. The workout is tough & you're legs, abs and back will be in pain during and post workout. My legs were shaky throughout the workout and I had to take regular breaks doing the abs workout. The excercises in this DVD are great in that they teach you proper form and introduce some new workouts to your routine, so even when you don't have the time to exercise, you can still manage to do some of these workouts on your own.

I bought this DVD to workout at home after purchasing a portable bar. Previously I attended Bar Method classes but since the pandemic, I needed to do something at home.The DVD was used but in perfect condition. I'm thrilled to have purchased it for a much better price than a brand new one. The workout delivers results and although I am very familiar with the workout moves, it is very good for beginners also since there are very detailed instructions as you go. I highly recommend this workout and have three DVD's to keep it interesting.

I was honestly disappointed with the workout. I teach Barre and have been to many classes and found this boring. The exercises were challenging but the teaching was boring.

not as hard as the super sculpting first video, which I am happy about, haven't used it enough to see any changes yet, however the standing seat work is not as easy to understand how exactly to do it, as the floor work. but I did like it, and its great to use when you need an alternate video to use with essentrics. I do like the arm work a lot.

I bought this DVD after trying it from our local library. I am physically challenged and loved this workout! I modify some to fit my knee replacements and saw an immediate improvement in toning and balance! I also struggle with RA and feel stronger every time I do the workout. I starting slow with two times a week and will soon be able to do three times a week! My six year old granddaughter workout along with me!!!!!

Little disappointed thought it was Barr workout only. Any body have any suggestions on which dvd would I should get just using the Barr only.
