Not quite what I remember, but the nostalgia is real
I was around 12 or 13 when I first tried these on back in the 80s as my first running shoe. They felt so unique and bouncy. These shoes don't give me that feeling, but shoe technology has come a long way and my feet have been through a lot since then! Doctored up with my inserts and lifts (the shoes as-is don't have adequate arch support), they'll be a great around town shoe, but I definitely wouldn't do any serious training in them. I'm a women's size 8.5, so I ordered the men's 7. Probably could have gone with the 7.5 for more wiggle room, but I'll settle for the 7 since this particular color seems to be in short supply. It's cool that Saucony brought back the classic styles.
