Grown and cured to perfection in Indonesia, in the Pacific Ocean, just off the north coast of Australia, the Indonesian Tahitensis vanilla features a different flavour to the more common Madagascan vanilla pods, the pods tend to be drier, but this makes the extraction easier. As a result, they have a flowery, fruity aroma with a smooth flavour described as smelling like liquorice, cherries or wine.

They are favourites with pastry chefs for preparing delicious pastries, sweets and desserts. It's not just for sweet things; it adds a subtle aroma to savoury dishes, mainly fish and seafood. It is beautiful when added to sugar, light rum or vodka. In addition to this, they can be used for cosmetic applications such as body creams, lotions, soaps etc.
