Does What It's Supposed To
Needed a way to water plants while no one is home during a 6-day stretch. My wife has a bad habit (or maybe good?) of killing plants. These are easy to put together. You will need 20 oz bottles like the ones used by soft drinks. A bottle any larger will probably be too much weight for the spike to hold it once filled with water. The inexpensive water bottles with small caps won't work on these, they need the larger, longer thread pattern used on Coke or Pepsi bottles. We used plastic San Pellegrino bottles (they have a nicer look in your garden anyway). In most cases it was easier to cut away the plastic rim of the cap that gets left behind on the bottle when opening. I had 2 out of the bunch that leaked a little from the threads even when screwed on very tightly. This might have been remedied with a little glue or silicone, but I didn't need all of them so I just used different ones to find ones that didn't leak. The small plastic valves are pretty straightforward. It does take a little time to adjust them. I found there's a very small range in the valve's position where you can achieve the desired "drip timing" for 20 oz of water to last 6-8 days. During the testing phase of my setup, I woke up some mornings to see that all 20 oz of water had dripped out and my plant had overflowed leaving a small puddle (thankfully outside on the porch). Not a big deal -- just needs more adjustment. A couple of the valves wouldn't adjust all the way down for me. All in all it's a great idea and the price point is perfect. For the little bit of trouble we went through, I still thought it was a great value for what we were trying to achieve.

The control tap does not work.
It’s a great idea but the quality of this product is low. The most important piece to this device was the control tap and I got two different kinds (white and grey) all the white ones couldn’t be closed to lower than a drop a second, you try screwing it tighter and the seal would break. The grey ones only four worked as advertised. The others were not consistent; at first it was 30 seconds per drop and suddenly the next morning my plant is drowned.

I'm not sure how I feel about this just yet....
I haven't found a bottle that fits these things... I've tried every size (from 16oz to 2l water/soda bottles), including the ones shown in the pictures with no luck ... so I can't say yet if this works or not... I can say though, I'm disappointed for all the money spent trying to find the right size bottle!!!!

Doesn't work the way I thought
The slowest setting will give you about a drip per second. To really use it for when you will be away for a long time or reduce frequency I would think it would have to be slower. The knob can't be adjusted lower because the o ring deforms, so you have to tighten it just right. Go too far and it starts dripping too fast and you have to take it out to adjust it. It does well if you have poor potting soil and it overflows instead of soaking in readily, that's the only way it's useful to me.

Just okay
So I thought these would be better that the glass watering globes because of the turn knob. Unfortunately, only brand name water and soda bottle can be used. I tried to use the small (8oz) water bottles but the threads were not compatible. With a 20 oz water bottle, these sit fairly high in my planter and are a wind hazard. I just don’t use them.

Bad product overall
This had many issues overall. To start of with, the bottles it recommends are very fragile and really hard to put a hole in those to allow drainage of water. The biggest problem with these were that the nossle weren’t a tight fit to any kind of bottle at all due to this water always leaked and never stayed more than 30 mins. Also some of these had faulty drippers. Those were either missing the washers or the nob was small due to which they were leaking. Overall bad quality and will never will buy these cheap items.

Good product!!
Although this is a very simple apparatus, it definitely works well. It's plastic so probably won't last forever but for as many as I got, I shouldn't have to replace them for years to come.
