Awesome…

My last charger of another brand worked well, but rather noisy. This Victron charger has no fan, so it is silent. Works as it should, and app is easy to use. I like that the app keeps track of the accumulated "amps put into the battery" as it charges. This a great feature, will be able to keep track over time the state / capacity of a battery. Normally as a battery ages the capacity decreases due to various reasons. The 15a version, a few reviewers stated it ran hot. I wanted to avoid that so I got this 10a version. I did not see any reviews of this 10a version, stating it ran hot. During the charging of a 100a LiFePO4 battery for 7hrs, the hottest measurement in one spot with my hand held pyrometer was 119 degrees F. Thats not bad. The included battery clamps appear to be on the flimsy / cheap side. I have not used them, nor do I plan to. I prefer to use the included ring terminals for battery connection. No issue with the ring terminals, and work well for tight connection to battery. Charger is somewhat expensive. But after using, and seeing what it can do, no regrets.

When the charger works, it seems to have a lot of great features. Really like the app, and being able to monitor it on my phone and get extra data. Wish they didn't have a proprietary connector for their clips, if they just used an SAE connector I could use existing clips/ports. When I bought this I kept hearing about how much better Victron was vs the 'Chinese chargers' and how if there was an issue you'd have fantastic customer support. Well let me tell you its not as advertised or perceived by others. I had an issue where my diesel truck batteries (2) were discharged completely. I put the charger on with the 'recondition' mode on. I checked on it during the day and it seemed to be ok, so i left them overnight. When I came back the next morning the garage was full of sulfur smell and the battery had boiled over. With 1 battery toast the 2nd battery was ok but I had to replace both batteries. I also have a nice acid stain on my garage floor to remind me of victron. I reached out for customer support. Victron DOESN'T have any they point you to the point of sale. In this case some company just sells it on amazon, but after reaching out they sent me to another company that is supposed to provide the tech support. This company has been responsive but they are essentially middle men with victron. Victron as far as I can tell has only responded once asking for information which I gave back immediately. Been over a month and I'm not sure I want to trust this charger on my lithium batteries anymore. Buy at your own risk.

Victron is a Holland-based company and they make top-notch stuff that's designed to meet some very strict codes (e.g., marine). This charger (which is not made in China -- but it is manufactured in India) is totally reliable and anyone here badmouthing it simply has no idea what they're talking about. This is a great charger for all your charging needs -- LifePo4 batteries as well. And the easy-to-use app tells you just about everything you'd want to know about the charging activities and gives you many configuration options -- down to the last detail -- so you can set up the charger for your specific batteries.

Overall I am very happy with the unit (12v/10A) so far. It works as expected, offers fast charging for larger (20-100 AH) lifepo4 batteries as well as lead acid batteries, and includes some key features like Li-ion under voltage protection reset, temperature compensation charging, and a bluetooth app for monitoring and controlling the charger. Unfortunately the history is only available if the charger remains plugged in so the dta must be stored on board rather than on the app but that could be considered a good thing if you have multiple mobile devices that you plan to use to monitor or control the system. One grip I have is that the single tactile button on the unit is not centered under the applique on the face of the unit and is a little difficult to activate for some reason. This may be limited to my unit but I have adjusted to it now and it's not a problem

For modern cars and AGM batteries this sort of a charger is a necessity. I leave a car at 2nd home for weeks or months and this charger really does the right job where an old school trickle charger failed.

Worked great. Even resolved an old battery issue of not charging to full.

Previous charger from a different manufacturer did not survive in an enclosed area. This one has, and I like the Bluetooth feature as I can monitor without having to dig into where it is installed.
