Wow! Here is everything you need to know about this fabulous little life jacket for your fur baby. I have looked at dozens of jackets here on Amazon. I ordered and returned 3 others, this one was my 4 attempt because the first 3 just didn’t work, mostly for sizing in the torso:neck. My dog is a smaller regular dachshund neck 11”, girth 16”, length 18”, 12 lbs. I ordered an XS based mostly on reviews because size charts had been wrong before. For this jacket the chart and reviews were exactly right. XS fits my baby perfectly. The biggest factors are so light weight, padding is quality and buoyant (from what I can tell so far, going to the lake in a couple weeks), lots of adjustment room. The clips and velcro are easy to adjust but stay put once you put them where they need to be. Most importantly to me, this is very wearable for her, she seems comfortable (other than being slightly annoyed) and can move around easily. I’d like her to wear it at all times while out in the yard at the lake house so this will work for extended days wear. Highly recommend for your small dog!!!

Love this lifejacket have a large godendoodle who is built just like a poodle with a very deep chest right at 33" so was kind of concerned but the XL fit perfect with a little extra room. Not loving the green color but orange wasn't available. Live in a place covered in iron ore around each access so wanted a darker color to cover up any discoloration. But fit was more important without being huge and thick of a lifejacket. It is more form fitting to dogs body without twisting on her body! Will use on paddle board I need her to be comfortable to lay with jacket on while we are on water! Will bring her out this weekend to test buoyancy but 2 strong handles on top as she is 60 lbs tall and thin. I shoukd be able to pull her back onto board if needed. Super easy in slip on over head velcro tummy then snap 2 snap closures. Bright to be very visible in water! Value for the money great buy!! Quality is very high! Material is very similar to my boating neoprene lifejacket same material which has worn and washed very great for past 3 years so i expect same out if this life jacket!!

Our 1.5 year old dutch shepherd is very active and is used to walks and hiking, but has never been swimming before (because Nona and Papa worry about her nails tearing their pool liner vinyl, which would be expensive to fix) and as we finally got some time off work, we can take our girl to a dog-friendly lake! (Hopefully she takes to the water like a fish, but if not then that wouldn't be the fault of this product!) She is used to getting in her walk harness, so we wanted a floatation vest that felt similar to her to provide familiarity and comfort as well as signal to her that it's swim time. This vest is great! It fits, velcro at the belly with two sturdy plastic clips that can tighten or loosen, and another clip at the front of the neck with a little bit of floaty stuff built in. No idea how buoyant it is, but seems like good neoprene material. Color is high visibility which is what we wanted; reflective strips a plus. (D-ring seems decent, but we will keep an eye on it since some reviews said it broke after a few uses, and our pup is a bit of an enthusiastic puller/demolition queen haha.) She wore it for an hour around the house and outside and it did not limit her mobility in the slightest or seem to cause discomfort (she is very into dog parkour or whatever since she enjoys leaping and hopping all over backyard terraces and rocks and boulders, which makes zoomies very interesting) and the fabric did not dig in anywhere or rub skin raw like I saw in other products' reviews - there's a couple inches clearance around the armpits so thats good. Really hoping she likes the water, because this product seemed like a great match

I bought this vest despite it being the one with the most reviews on Amazon and I feel like this deserves more credit! Do not be fooled by other vests that have more reviews, this one is amazing! I have a 14 pound Pomeranian and got a size small. He doesn't mind it at all and loves swimming with it on. There is definitely room to tighten and expand if needed though. I love that this has a little cushion right in front of the neck, I feel like it helps my dog keep his head up a little better. I only knocked off one star because the under part is a little long. My dog will definitely not be able to go pee with this on because it comes down far on his belly, it covers his stuff. It might not be this way for all size small dogs though!

Nice for small dog & not to restrictive.

This is perfect!! Our pup is 70lbs and LOVES to swim. She is a very good swimmer, however, she doesn’t know when to stop, especially when we are in the water with her. She will keep swimming until she’s exhausted and partially starts to sink and we would have to help hold her up. That is until we got this lifejacket!! Once we put this on her there was a drastic change. She can practically just wade in the water and this will hold her up effortlessly! She swam non stop for hours, even through some waves, and never struggled. I honestly though this was going to be too small just based off of the jacket to body ratio but if it were any bigger it wouldn’t fit her right. This is a great tool to help your pup, even if they are a good swimmer too. This helps mitigate exhaustion, but still allows your pup to kick their legs and swim as if they didn’t have this on. In the event that you do need to hold your dog up in the water, this helps with that as well and makes it much easier to tow them to the shore if needed. We only had to make minor adjustments after her having it on for several hours straight. The top handle is a great feature in the event that you would have to pull your dog out of the water if you were on a boat etc. The bright color is another great feature as it makes it very easy to spot your pup if they are out a little bit far or their coat blends in too much with the water. We took on two beach trips and probably have about 10-15hours of use on it and it’s holding up fine. All in all this was a great purchase. It eases my mind knowing my pup is safe in the water even when she gets a little bit tired. No matter how good of a swimmer your dog is it’s not a bad idea to have this on if they can’t touch the bottom. Enjoy!

This safety vest for dogs is absolutely perfect! It goes on easily, can be adjusted to fit your dog and keeps them afloat in any type of water. Our golden doodle is a decent swimmer, but this vest helped her become an even better one on our recent trip to the beach. The Velcro and snap clips make it extra secure and they don’t come loose during swimming. My dog actually enjoys getting it on and wearing it. I would highly recommend this safety vest for your favorite furry friend. Oh, one more thing, the handle on the top of the vest is especially helpful!

I think this is one of the best dog life jackets at a great price point. I have small 12# dogs. These are secure without being cumbersome or interfering in thier mobility. However, one of my dogs has a deep chest and slime waist. I had to add a tie down from the chest to the belly to keep the belly band from sliding back too far. I think the addition of a Y shaped chest plate would make this product unbeatable in the market.
