Excellent!
I'd been used to using a Bending Branches paddle for many years but after losing my paddle on a river trip, I needed to replace my paddle. As I've aged I felt I needed something a bit lighter than what I'd had & this paddle fit the bill. I love it. And the colors are great! Can't mistake this paddle for anyone elses!

First look but haven't used yet as I just received them today
At first look they are very beautiful and a perfect match for my Tamarack Pro Fishing Kayak and that's what I wanted. They go together easy, light weight, feels strong. There are some small bubbles in one of the decal sides that concerns me some but hopefully that won't cause cracking or peeling and the drip rings are very thin and not sturdy at all but I'll put my old ones from my cheap paddle because they are far more superior. If I have any issues, you'll hear back from me but until then, I'm excited to give them a try. They even included a strap that I wasn't expecting.

Perfect paddle for my unusual setup
I am an older lady who paddles in rivers using an inflatable standup paddle (SUP) board. I cannot stand up though because I have vertigo. I bought a Larry chair (on Amazon) and brackets to attach the chair to my board. This allows me to sit and paddle using a kayak paddle instead of the SUP paddle. The kayak paddle I had wasn’t long enough, at 90 inches, to clear the chair frame when I paddled side to side. This paddle is about 6 or 8 inches longer and it is perfect for me! Problem solved! This is a great paddle!

Nice Paddle.. No Rubber Ring on Blue Cloud
I ordered two of these in different colors.. Blue Cloud seems to come with a cheap plastic rather than rubber paddle rings.Bumped review to 4 after trying it out on the water, the paddles met my expectations.

Yes It is Carbon Fiber. Yes it is lighter than Aluminum. I plan to buy another.
I ordered this paddle and a $39.99 premium Aluminum paddle at the same time. When I put both on a gram scale this one comes in aroung 920g (about 2 pounds) and the Aluminum paddle was just over 1100 grams (about 2.5 pounds). It is lighter but it is not a 50% weight reduction. If you hold both in your had it feels lighter but not a ton lighter. In the water this paddle was clearly better. While both paddles had very similar black nylon tips and both paddles break down into two pieces this paddle feels like it is all one piece when I paddle. When paddling with the aluminum paddle their is stress on the joint, it feels like two separate pieces as when force is applied to the paddle there is a small amount of wobble in the joint. I am not a professional kayaker and cannot justify spending $200.00 to $300.00 on a top of the line Cabon Fiber paddle. I carefully inspected the inside and outside of the paddle to see if this was just a sticker on top of an aluminum pole as one reviewer suggested. That is certainly not the case. I suspect that one star review is a fake negative review. I am impressed with this paddle. In my opinion it was worth the extra $50 to $60 above the price of an aluminum paddle. I plan to buy another one of these for family outings.

My favorite paddle, thus far
I have tried a couple of other paddles and haven't really been that happy with them. These paddles were on the less expensive side, like $20-$25. I finally decided to jump up to the next level paddle, a carbon fiber one. I can honestly say, this paddle is very sturdy and lightweight! I have used it for a few months now, with lots of long excursions and I have been very happy with how it performs in the water. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that I am disappointed the design on the paddle is a sticker. I have concerns that over time it may begin to peel away from the paddle or possibly begin to fade. If this happen, I will update my review but so far....so good. I should note, I am newbie to kayaking but have spent a lot of time on the water for a short season here in Maine.

Top quality at less than half price
I had my doubts about the battle at this price point. When I received it, materials seemed solid. When I put it together, I was a little bit disappointed that there was a tiny bit of slop in the joint; however, now that I have paddled 150 miles of flat lake water and upriver, I could not be more pleased. That bit of slop in the Fit Up I have never noticed while on the water.Lighter than my bending branches and aqua bound paddles of the same length. And it is stiffer. Never realized how much my other paddles flexed paddling up river until using one that didn’t

Best Marine Carbon Fiber Kayak Paddle (234cm)
Have used the paddles once in our new Advanced Concepts Straightedge 2 kayak. We are both pretty tall and needed the little extra length these paddles have. They work very well for us. Let me leave some comments re some of the negatives that others have left. I gave it 4 stars only because we haven't had but one chance to use it. Don't know about longevity yet.First, the locking button works perfectly on our paddles (we purchased 2 of them). The shafts are already pre-drilled to allow us to dihedral them if we chose to do so. We are going to stay with straight until we get better at paddling. The day we used it there was a 10-15 knot wind and they didn't seem to catch the wind when paddling directly into it.Second, they fit together very well with no slack. They stay locked and don't rotate or get "floppy".Third, as I said before, we needed the additional length because our yak is inflatable and we are tall. The extra 2 inches or so works for us. The kayak manufacturer recommended 230 cm paddles but the average person is 4 to 5 inches shorter than we are.We bought the whole shebang to be able to take the yak and all the accessories with us in our RV when we travel. There have been lots of opportunities we've missed in the past to paddle some beautiful lakes and we'll be able to do that now. Storage of the broken down paddles is just slightly problematic but I knew that when I purchased them.If you need a slightly longer paddle and want the light weight of the carbon fiber handle, these are a great value.

Love my new paddle
I just received my new paddle and I love it. I was a little afraid of the length at first but it's working out just fine. So light.

It's good, but needs slight customisation. Read my review.
A good paddle, lightweight and easy to manouvre. I can paddle faster and the length is perfect for me especially on different terrains where I have to keep changing my paddling technique. The paddle has already paddled me over 150 miles and I haven't had it long.2 gripes - I was annoyed at the price increase just as I bought it as I had it in my basket for a few days and secondly the most important - to optimise this paddle you will definitely have to invest in the proper foam grips to stop blisters, to give you much better control and for ease of paddling. Customised how I have done to this paddle I give it 10/10, without the customization an 8.
