A Good External Drive but ...
This is a good external drive. I plugged it into (my daughter's) MacBook, inserted a DVD and 'hey presto', it worked. No drivers to install, no setup program to run, nothing. It just worked. So, it's small, lightweight and functional. For £20 that seems like a good deal to me.BUT THERE ARE A COUPLE OF THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:(1) The drive has a 'fixed' USB cable. What I mean by that is that it's built into the drive. It isn't a big deal but it means that this is the only cable that you can use. Damage it and you're screwed.(2) The cable is very, VERY short. In fact, it's only 27.5cm long. Again, this is no big deal, but it'd be nice if it was a little bit longer.

Does not play all dvds
This device is very selective when it comes to playing DVD's, some work without problems, with others it just refuses to play them. I don't know what it is based on, all the DVD's are from the same region and usually work perfectly, but not on this device. It's a game of chance every time I want to watch anything. On top of that, when I plug the device into my MacBook, it, somehow, cuts off the wifi connection, meaning I cannot rip CDs onto my MacBook without having to add all the information by hand. What a waste.

Great
You have to download software before you can use it but apart from that it is much cheaper than a tv and very slim and easily portable. So far so good

Skips portions of CDs
I bought this to load CDs onto my macbook. Despite buying the item months ago, I am just now using it. Sadly, it doesn't import all songs onto my computer. It's very sensitive. It does this some very new CDs.

It works and it's fairly cheap
It works and it's fairly cheap but you can tell, with some of the cosmetic parts already falling off so I am a bit worried about whether the important parts will also breakEdit: They have now sent a replacement which is working fine at the moment

Worked with Mac and iTunes
Worked as advertised. Compatible with my MacBook Air. Did need to use the manual way to eject. Cd. (paperclip pushed into a reset hole)
