We have little potty for our daughter, but thinking this one would be easier for her to transfer to normal toilet. Now we encourage her use this one more. It’s simple design and very stable. The only thing I didn’t like is that it didn’t come with a install instruction, and the little step ladder seems not lever, it doesn’t affect the use anyway. We like it

like / highly dislike
my wife and i , have a like / hate feel for this step ladder potty seat. it allows our son to get up to the toilet and sit down no problem. we love the handles on the sides, he uses them often. but when it comes to going pee , my wife and i have to monitor him every single time , as there is no guard on the seat to catch the pee and then when it does go in the toilet it every single time!!!! comes out from the bottom of the seat and onto the floor!! we keep a container of lysol wipes next to the toilet because of how much we have to clean up after this thing. Unfortunately, though i like the ladder part , would NOT recommend this seat for boys. pee should not be trickling out from under the potty seat and out of the toilet seat onto the floor! (have tried with both toilet seat up and down) it is extremely frustrating! Construction is not well thought all around. from the top of the seat (no guard) to the bottom of the seat (flap not long enough to block pee).

Love for my almost 2 year old! Great design
One of the things I love about this seat is how easy it is for my almost-2 year old to climb up, turn around, and sit down on. When the stairs and seat are detached the ability to mount is so much harder. This seat has handles in just the right place for my toddler to use to pull himself up.Why the 4 stars? It's a 5 star product for my son's age, but already moves when he pulls handles to go up the stairs. For our older kid friends (3-3.5), the seat slips more and it's a little daunting. It's never slipped off completely, but just doesn't seem to latch onto the toilet as well as it could.

I don’t recommend it
My son keeps saying it is not comfortable, he rather uses the normal toilet instead this. The place to sit is too narrow for a 3 years old, it hurts.

Slides Around
This product gets the job done, but my 2-year old has trouble getting up on it without it sliding around. Once he is a little older, I don't think this will be a problem. I also think it's just because our seat is more oval than normal, so the grips don't help much. It would guess it's better on a more standard seat.

My boy like that!!
I recommend the potty because it was exactly my boy wanted. There were other options like step stools or similar toilet seats with built in step ladder.I like that the little white padded toilet ring is removable for washing.

This potty training device was NOT strong enough for my grandson
The durability and strength is what I disliked so much that I actually returned it for credit. I will probably decide on a different option or one like this that is much stronger than the one I originally purchased. I just seemed fragile and not only was he afraid to climb the steps [this kid is not scared of climbing much of anything!!!], but I was concerned about him breaking it, or just falling from the structure. Sorry, this was one that didn't work out for me.

great buy
feels cheaply made. but does what its intended for. my 3 yr old loved it so much and is not intimidated by the big potty. she sets it up on her own and goes potty like a big girl.
