Stetson Los Alamos Straw Hat OSLAMS

This hat could be sold for double the price and I would still think it was a good deal. I was very impressed with the quality, fit, and feel. It works well for driving the convertible with the top down because of the stiff nature and shape of the brim. The brim doesn't flip up in gusts like my Tilley does (I love my Tilley but that's always been a problem with it in a convertible). The leather chin cord holds it down on my head just fine, and it looks cool too. I feel confident it will last as well as way more expensive straw hats, and it certainly looks as good as those costing 2 or 3 times as much. I don't mind paying a higher price for something that is a higher quality or that I like much better, but this hat gives me the best of both worlds.Now for the only thing I wish they had done differently: I wish they had more sizes available to order. I acknowledge that would make it necessary for them to charge more, but I would pay a little more for more size choices. All things considered, it's so nice for the money it still earns stars regardless.

The hat looks great, definitely styling if you are wearing it, but the reason I wanted it was for functionality and comfort. I have a good size house on about 5 acres and I love being outside, working on the property, mowing, trimming and cutting down a few trees, I wanted to get the sun off my neck as well as my face as my baseball caps just weren't enough. I also needed to be able to secure it when mowing or when windy, I tighten the leather cord around the BB ack of my head and it is great. Ive owned Stetson hats before and still do, this one is a keeper all the way around.

Ordered a medium and it was a little too tight (7 1/4). Contacted Killer Hats and they were very helpful and easy to work with on the return for a large, which fits perfectly. Both hats were packaged with care in high quality boxes made for this type of hat and were in excellent condition upon opening. This is a very good looking, quality hat. I've only had it a few days and have received several positive comments about it.

Ordered and then returned a size large as it was too small. Ordered a keeping a XL although it is a little too large.It’s exactly the hat I wanted and I’ll make adjustments with headband inserts

I live in the desert and needed a nice, quality hat. This hat is gorgeous! A week later now since I have worn it. I am even more pleased than when it arrive! Very comfortable.

I needed a little larger than what they had to offer. Other wise this is a great hat.

There is a warning label inside the hat that is VERY worrisome. I checked the website to get more information but unless you know what chemical is used in/ on the hat it is not really helpful. The hat is not made of straw, it is a hard plastic. Over all it looks good but I rather NOT wear it until I know what chemicals are the ones that can cause cancer or reproductive harm.
