Great for the boat too!
Have 3 cordless phone chargers on our boat but zero USB chargers for those who do not have cordless charge devices (phones, tablets, etc.). This was the answer to that problem and has performed very well. I like the fact it reads the accessory battery power level as well.

Great fast charger
Easy to install and replace old lighter. Have had installed for 3 years and still working great. Have bought 3 more so far, highly recommend.

Nice addition to my car, eliminates the need for bulky plugs.
I was looking for an alternative to the usual/bulky plug that goes into a cigarette or accessory plug and when I found this it was exactly what I was looking for.I hate having the door to the ashtray/cigarette lighter/accessory port open all the time just to charge my phone so I was looking for a good alternative. Unfortunately my car didn’t have a space to accommodate this accessory plug so I had to get creative because I was determined to use this so I could stop using the plug inside the ashtray door.I took an old electronics piece I had and I gutted it so I could repurpose the shell. The size was perfect for this project. I cut open part of the back of the plastic so I could access the inside to install the locking nut and wiring. I drilled out a hole on the top for the plug, I dropped the USB plug in and secured the locking nut. I ran the wires to the existing cigarette lighter port and tapped into the power there.I wired up the USB port and I used some 3M Dual Lock to secure the box to the panel of the car.The USB port came on as soon as the key was turned on and I was in business. This is the perfect set up for me and the install was not too difficult at all. It’s not your normal installation but sometimes you have to think outside the box.I like this USB port because it solves a few issues for me, and now my passengers will have easy access to power for charging as well.

Pretty cool - Feels well made - Unfortunately one burned out, but I will try again.
I installed this on an old 1980 classic Harley restoration for road trips and a constant eye on stator charging / battery status. You're going to want to drill 1-1/8", for which I used a $12 Titanium Step Drill Bit bought right here off Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RP82F8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) - it drilled through 1/8" aluminum without any issue, like butter. The installation is quite simple, the wires if I remember are copper and the overall quality is fairly well and securely constructed.I'm not entirely sure what happened but after a couple of weeks I went to plug my phone in when I realized it wasn't charging. I had my voltage display still working, so I knew it couldn't be the inline fuse. After a couple of tries using a few different charging cables, I noticed the voltage display cutting in and out. Continuing to try both ports with different cables, having no luck, finally the display cut out entirely. I played around more and more and noticed when I'd press my finger into the display it would flicker -- I believe something interally came loose from vibrations, it's a very big old bike, it vibrates and rattles, especially with a hand full of throttle! I am going to order another and maybe see if I can open it up and load it with some hot glue or something to keep things intact internally.

Looks good and works great!
I have red accents on my all black FZ6R (Red CNC shorty levers, spike replacement bolts for windscreen, etc...) so this adds a little subtle red aluminum accent and works great. I wired mine to my daytime running lights (at my tail light) since they are only powered with the key. I am sure power drain for the led display is minimal if nothing is charging, but don't want to take chances. So now I don't need to bring a charger (previously had installed a charging port for regular cigarette lighter type plug). I just put my type C cable and micro usb for my Sena under my seat in case I need them. Not ever a problem, but nice if I need them. I did have my Sena 20s die on me once leaving work and it made for a long ride home (20 miles). I get fast charge speed on my Note 9 which is why I upgraded to begin with. Added bonus was since I had to do some disassembly to run wire I found out the my ram mount connector was cracked and made worse when I put it back on so I ordered a new clamp connector. Love my Ram mount x grip (have used the same one for at least 5 years).

A good replacement of a car 12V cigarette lighter with this USB charger
I debated between buying a 12 V USB insert into my cigarette lighter or replacing it with this USB charger for use in my 1999 Lexus GS300. I decided with the USB charger . My car has the cigarette light in a swing out ash tray combination. Pulled out the old lighter and installed and soldered the wires for the new USB charger. The USB charger was a little longer than I would like because with the straight push-on connectors, there was interference with the ashtray swinging in and out. using right angle push on connector solved the clearance problem. The USB charger looks sleek and the battery voltage is a nice feature. The battery voltage appear accurate because it goes higher when the engine is revving higher. The USB connectors make good connection with our cables. Can't tell if it charges my phone faster because I have an old phone. The product is well made and does what as advertised. It worked so well in the Lexus, I bought another one for my 2009 Mini Cooper. Does exactly as advertise. Has two USB ports and correctly displays the car voltage. Since it is wired to the original cigarette lighter, the voltage is displayed only when the car is on. The terminals on the back are standard spare type and comes with pigtails for easy install. Dust cover fits well and can be removed before the install if you don't want it. Did have to enlarge the hole in the dash plastic slight to make this fit.

The adapter is too large
The adapter is too large to mount into the dash of the Yamaha FJ-09 motorcycle. I am going on the assumption that there is a standard hole size to mount "Cigarette Lighter Adapter Accessories". It seems that this device was not well researched by the manufacturer. Poor implementation.

Does not fit standard holes
I bought this charger to replace an old 12v outlet in my car - big mistake. Not only did it not fit the standard opening in the dash panel, it was actually larger than the dimension stated by the seller. I got it stuck trying to install it, and the wiring pulled apart while trying to free it. I was left with a larger hole in my dash panel that the original 12v socket would no longer fit in.

Perfetto
