LOWLAND OUTDOOR® Travel Case for Backpacks

Really handy bag to keep my rucksack safe while traveling. I’ve taken it on 5 planes and it’s not been ripped or damaged so it’s pretty robust. Used a small padlock around the ringlets at the drawstring to keep it extra safe.

Good sturdy bag for when travelling with a rucksack for the hold in the plane.

This fits well - place the bag over the top of your ruck sac then pull it down and pull the drawstrings tight. However, when you pick it up by the handle, the blue fabric is put under a lot of strain so you have to support the weight with your other arm. I am convinced that the first baggage handler (AKA "Thrower") lifts this, the fabric will rip. I will report back after the return flight. I have upgraded my review from 3 to 4 stars as the bag came back from its first return flight in pristine condition. It is off to Nepal for the rest of the month so you will have to be on the edge of your seats for a while to find out if it is sturdy enough to survive a few weeks of hammer.

Great bag, used them from uk to USA to hold a 65l rucksack and was able to put my big coat and boots in there as well. Went on 3 flights with no problems. Very happy with this purchase.

Cover for Backpacks/ rucksacks when flying. Prevents straps getting caught in machinery. Seems sturdy enough. It is very large - my 65l backpack could still have had another 20l or so - and it would have been nice to have a better closure system. It has a drawstring which works, but you then have a long string to get rid of somehow - otherwise it's another thing to get caught in the carousel.

Great obertbag for going round a backpack. My bag is a 70litre backpack and this over bag covers it perfectly. It prevents all the straps from getting caught on on the belts at the airport and also keeps the bag nice and clean. Would recommend.

I bought this item to cover my rucksack and straps on the belt at the airport so that it wouldn’t get damaged and dirty. My rucksack measures 40x55x20 - 42lt and its shape is square, just like a suitcase. If at the last minute I decide to put the rucksack in the hold, I’d unpack this Flightbag from the tiny carrying bag at the check-in counter and could also use a padlock to close it better.

Room enough for a large backpack. I use an Osprey Aura 50l and there's room enough for a 65l backpack. The packaging is very small and perfect for a hiking trip. Sturdy and lightweight.
