Much more comfortable than other bed wedges
i ordered this and another of the best reviewed popular bed wedges and it wasn't even close. the other wedge was very very firm made of basically a solid foam w/ only a very slight give. this is made of egg crate foam as the picture shows and is very soft and at the same time supportive. it is like, "ok those two aren't even close" when you try them out.as another reviewer said it isn't the widest. i'm 6'1" 210 w/ broad shoulders that go outside the edges but that isn't a problem as your shoulders naturally curve forward at their edges and the part of my shoulders before they start curving forward is still enclosed and supported. finally, i have no idea what (other than the egg crate) that picture of the wedge is showing (it's confusing and looks like it has a sharp angle in the middle, which i does not). i wasn't even sure when i ordered it what it was going to look like when i got it. to clear that up it looks like any of the other bed wedges that you see being offered (that is a solid triangle wedge shape) but unlike the other products it has a slight "U" shape essentially built into it for the section where you would lay on / lean against (like what you'd expect the back of a race car driver's seat to have with a U shaped curve to support where your body comes into contact with it rather than a flat surface (like the floor). makes a HUGE difference as well.finally, even if you don't use this for sleeping (which i decided in the end not to use either of the wedges for sleeping) i'm still keeping this for sitting on the bed / couch watching TV, it's that comfortable

Great for post-surgical recovery
I've been unfortunate enough to need several surgeries the past year, thank you cancer. (I'm fine, thanks for asking.) The hardest part of any surgery is getting to sleep afterwards. When your body is cut up and muscles not functioning, getting in and out of bed can be painful, difficult or plain impossible. Afer using bed pillows to try and prop myself into the positions I need to be, I finally bought this pillow. It's perfect. It's soft enough to cradle your hurting body, but firm enough to put you in a position where you can get up and out of bed. The bend in it is very gentle, not the strong curve as in the picture. But, the small curve does seem to help keep you in position. I also love that it can be used after you recover for sitting on the couch reading or watching TV. It won't gather dust under the bed. Just turn it around and you have nice support. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the flimsy cover that comes with it. It's not a pillow where you can easily find a case to go on it and that scratchy, cheap cover isn't soft enough. One other thing - I'm a very small, only 100 pounds. This fits me perfectly so I wonder if it would be as comfortable if you are a bigger person. My arms can stay inside it but maybe that isn't necessary? I leave it for you to decde.

Could be better designed.
I got this wedge to help me stay a little more upright in bed while recovering from pneumonia. It works fine, but it's a little short on the comfort department. I have two slight criticisms:1st. It is a little narrower than it should be. Since the pillow is slightly rounded, you feel the ends hugging your shoulders. It would be a lot more comfortable if there were a couple more inches to each side.2nd. It is a little more firm than strictly necessary. If it yielded a little more, it might not only be more comfortable, but fell a little less warm.On the plus side, it does effectively keep you upright and comfortable in bed, and can be taken to different places throughout the house--sofa, easy chairs, even dining room chairs with arms (being used on dining room chairs be the reason it is so narrow). It can be used to lie down in bed and keep your head elevated, but, again, a little more width would have been very welcome.

Love this pillow!
I accidentally wrote this same (or similar) review under the cover that I had also ordered for the pillow thinking that I was reviewing the pillow itself. I hope there will be a way for me correct that. Anyway, I've been spending years trying to prop myself up on the couch using multiple pillows that are all different sizes. They always are slipping around and sometimes falling off the couch. I wish I'd thought sooner to look into a single pillow like this one. It's perfect for me. So very comfortable. I can use it for different reasons in several positions and I just highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be able to sit up straight or partway and be very comfortable at the same time. I ordered the pillow cover to go with it just to keep the pillow itself clean as the case is washable, but it's just as comfortable either way.

Not as wide as I thought
This is my second Dual Position Comfort Wedge. I had my first one for many years, and only replaced it as it had compressed quite a bit. This one is not as wide as my previous one. I'm not sure if I ordered a different model or not. My old one was wide enough for my husband and I to both use if we were spooning on our sides. This one barely fits me by myself, and I am not a large person. While the pillow works, as I need to be elevated to sleep due to asthma and allergies, I am not completely thrilled with it due to the lack of width.
