MaycaKonpeito Japanese Tiny Sugar Candy Crystal (Wasurenagusa)

First things first, these little candies are super good! They are like little rock candies. I bought these because they were the inspiration for star bits in Super Mario Galaxy. I bought the smaller package, and it is a little small, so if you are a fan of sugar, I think sizing up is worth it. I will warn you, shipping takes a little while, and you don't get tracking info (at least I didn't). Mine took a little over a month but it wasn't a big deal, we are in Covid still so that may contribute.TL;DR: A nice little treat that is easy to share!

bought because obviously studio Ghibli, it took forever to get through japan customs but when they did come it was a lot smaller than I thought, they are pure sugar so very sweet. I used them for decoration in the end though.

When I was younger, there was this anime called Hamtaro. In one of the episodes he had this candy that, in English, they called 'Sugar Stars'. I had always wanted to try this candy, but because I only knew what they called it in that particular episode, I couldn't find where to buy them at. I eventually gave up looking. Recently a friend linked me to this and so I got it for myself for my birthday!As soon as I opened the package and saw them I was hesitant to eat them. They were just too cute! I finally got the courage to try one. Delicious! Not something you'd want to eat handfuls at a time but to have one or two here and there as a small treat to yourself.Because they were so cute, I decided to put some in a small cork bottle to use as decoration.

Made very well.The different flavors surprised me, I thought they were going to e all the same "sugar cube" flavor.Every color is a different taste, none to strong all subtle but very delicious.The green melon was my favorite.I well order again. I wish I could find a bag with just the green melon flavor.

I ordered these because I love Spirited Away. I made some soot sprites out of fuzzy yarn and thought this candy would be cute to glue to each one. Now, I'm not sure I will because they taste SO good. As others have mentioned, each color is a slightly different flavor and all the colors are delicious. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the colors of the candy are more pastel and less bright than the image. I really wanted the brighter colors, but I still love them.

These took a super long time to come, but when they did arrive I was so excited! I had always wanted to eat the Star Bits in Super Mario Galaxy and I found out that they were based off Konpeito candies, so that's why I bought them. The package was not very big, but the candies were delicious and I finally feel at peace knowing what Star Bits taste like. I'm planning to order more soon :)

These worked out perfectly for the cake decorating scheme I was going for. It was lovely and intriguing to figure out the flowery flavors. The cake receiver also had been talking about wanting to taste Sakura for a long time so I went with the variety pack in order to present that one package and of course enjoy all the flavors. I still have plenty left, they have a good shelf life of you resist the perfectly crumbling crunchy bits. The chocolate susuwatari on the cake didn't last long and the konpeito were the next to disappear.

Showed up about a week after latest expected delivery date, haven’t eaten yet as is a gift. Looks very good and tasty, exactly like picture.Would love to buy more but wish I could get shipping that was faster or trackable. I sent a message asking if that would be a possibility next time but have gotten no answers.
