This has helped so very much. I have had other devices which have been bulky. This one allows me to sleep without feeling as if I have a cast on. You still have to do all the other treatments including stretching and icing, but it has tremendously reduced the pain on first step in the morning and seems to have helped with the healing process. The velcro is very fine and holds quite well. It is not made to walk with it on, so you must take it off if getting out of bed or to go into another part of the home.

I've been avoiding the big bulky night splints in favor of the lower profile dorsal type since developing plantar fasciitis about six months ago. I've tried the Thermoskin (toes fell asleep no matter how I adjusted it), the Nexcare from Target (was ok, but the strap at the top of the calf was uncomfortable, and the discomfort would often wake me up), and the Futuro (the most comfortable and effective that I've tried, however, it still frequently cuts off the blood flow on the top of my foot). The Brown Medical Comfort X is the latest and least effective that I have tried, almost laughably so. It's hard to believe this product made it to market. It is impossible to maintain any stretch with this splint, due to the low ankle cuff. I don't write a lot of reviews, but felt a duty to warn you.

This is the closest I've found to something that would work for me. This is comfortable at night and gives some stretch but also allows me to get up in the middle of the night and walk on it without making a lot of noise removing velcro and waking up the husband. It's not quite enough stretch support but so far is the best product I've been able to find. I think a bit of boning support around the ankle could make a huge difference to this.

Got this for my husband's foot drop, but it is too soft; doesn't hold the foot in position. The straps go around the ankle to the back and he scrapes them on the bed and they dislodge. The foot had a hard plastic insert that was so wide that it allowed the foot to move from side to side. Just didn't work very well for us.

This night splint is the best. It is so compatible that you don't know you have it on. I have tried many night splints and they were never compatible whatsoever.

In addition to stretching my tendon at night; I needed a brace that would do 3 things....I had to be able to put it on by myself. I had to be able to walk in it for nighttime bathroom trips. Finally, I needed one I would leave on all night. This is third brace I purchased and the first I didn't return because this brace is working for me and I can now get up in the morning and walk without pain.

Comfortable but hot to wear but doesn’t really keep foot flexed enough

It works and i can't kick it off in the night. I can also walk around in this. It is definitely a light stretch with some give. I've tried a whole bunch of stuff for my tendonitis (insertional) and I've found less comfortable braces with a better stretch that I never use because of these reasons.

This works better than nothing, but it really lacks the kind of structure and support that would be required to work really efficiently. I'm glad to have it, and it has made a bit of a difference, but it in now way keeps my foot flexed during the night.
