I usually buy this Brand. I like the natural ingredients and the blend that is in these! They work Great. I go to sleep quickly after taking 1.. You can take 2, but I don’t need to. I’m asleep in a matter of minutes!! I don’t have any after effects or drowsiness in the morning next day.. I would definitely recommend this Valerian Root for a restful sleep!!I recently had to buy a different Valerian Root because of out of stock. But, will go back to these if in stock..

I always take one before bed (in combination with Melatonin) to help me fall asleep. Best sleep EVER! If you struggle to fall asleep, stay asleep, and sleep soundly this product is AMAZING! My local CVS was out so I ordered from here. Please note, it does stink (like an old dirty sock)! It's supposed to, you did not receive a bad batch. I've been buying it for years and every bottle I've purchased smelled like this. Do not, I repeat DO NOT smell it before taking it. HOLD YOUR BREATH! Stench aside, this product works very well.

Great valerian root, effective for sleep with no side effects. Highly recommend because of quality and consistency.We have ordered this product before. As you can see from attached photo, this order should include two bottles as indicated “THIS IS A SET DO NOT SEPARATE”. We only received one bottle!

First off the product is probably deserving of 5 stars, because I find that it actually does what it is supposed to, it helps me to fall asleep fairly quickly at night. I do take Ambien, but I am trying to use this with Melatonin to hopefully get to sleep in a more natural way.The reason for 4 stars, is because I do like the product, but the smell.... the smell prevents me from actually loving it. I understand that Valerian Root smells as the root dries, but I sure wish they could coat it with something that would keep the odors from proliferating the entire room every time I open the cap. The smell is like dirty, sweaty, stinky feet. If you try to hold your breath while taking these, the taste is still in your mouth while you also hurl while swallowing them. I was concerned that this smell would come out of my body, through my pores or in my sweat as some spices tend to do, but fortunately that has not been the case.

My 89 year old mother was prescribed Seroquel during a short hospital stay (she had never had any drugs of this type before). I did not like the results when they gave it to her. She would calm down and go to sleep, which is what they wanted (that part was fine with me and my mother also!), but next day, mid-morning, her anxiety and general disposition was WORSE. I filled the Seroquel prescription in case we got desperate after she got back home but we never gave her any. We learned about Valerian Root and tried it instead. We gave her 1 tablet an hour or so before bed and she would relax and be ready for bed and sleep for hours. The next day she was normal and didn't seem to have any bad side effects. Every now and then she would get a second Valerian tablet in the middle of the night if she asked for a "sleeping pill" but 1 tablet was adequate most of the time. We did this for almost 4 months (along with some magnesium supplements) and felt like it was a very effective use of supplements to promote restful sleeping for a frail elderly person. (The nursing home where she spent her last 2 months also continued to give her these 2 supplements as far as we know, and sleeping problems were not mentioned by the staff.)

I have tried other brands but find nature's bounty to be the only effective one out there. It helps me have a restful sleep. I take 3 before bedtime. I fall asleep easier, my sleep is deeper and I wake up feeling rested. I highly recommend it.

I've had insomnia for years. It comes and goes, but for the most part, I could be tired all day, but once my head hits that pillow I'm wide awake. With that being said, I've tried basically every sleep remedy under the sun. I've been on prescriptions for sleep, and those have been the only thing that help, but I always find myself going after supplements and natural remedies for sleep on the basis of brain health. Unfortunately, this didn't help me.First, the recommended dose is 5 capsules. So while you're getting 100 caps, you only get 5 servings. With that being said, I've taken 10 caps at a time on top of other sleep aid and that still didn't work. So for me, 20 servings for $10 for a product that had no efficacy hardly seems worth it.

This is one of the best replacement for melatonin. 👌
