I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine. I didn't think I would - but I do. I don't like owning a lot of kitchen devices as I have a small kitchen. Additionally, I think people often buy the newest fad and then the machine doesn't get used. I limit myself to the bare necessities in kitchen appliances. I researched this before purchasing and figure I could return it if it didn't perform well. This design is totally different from other air fryers. I purchased an air fryer for a friend and while the thing worked it was bulky and I couldn't figure out how one could actually clean the thing out. I think the oil and debris must accumulate or the high temps sanitizes the machine. I never wanted to own one until I saw how Ninja turned the traditional air fryer design upside down. Unlike all the other air fryers, this design it so very easy to clean because the cooking element of the sits on top of the glass containers. The bowls can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. Not sure if they are safe for microwave or not. This is so more than an air fryer as it bakes, roasts, grills, etc. Ninja doesn't advertise the machine as a low calorie way to cook but it should. Any fats from the meat one cooks or oils added to the food ends up at the bottom of the container. Saves lots of calories when using the grill function. The two glass dishes are incredibly easy to clean. One would think with the high temperatures that food would bake on and be difficult to remove. It isn't. This glass is somehow different and cleaning is easy and simple. Mostly just with soapy water and a sponge unless especially dirty then scrubber side of the sponge might be needed. Cooking has been so very easy. Since it take relative little time to cook say chicken thighs (10 min), I can cook them and then cook some vegetables (5 min) without the meats getting cold. Or I've been able to partially cook some baby potatoes and then stack chicken on top and finish cooking both together. I've cooked everything from tater tots to marinated tofu and everything has turned out great. As with everything there is a learning curve in determining how long to cook something. When cooked correctly chicken thighs have turned out crispy on the outside while still moist. I cook marinated tofu to be used as either a high protein snack or to be later added to a stir fry. Believe it or not my dog absolutely loves the tofu I have been making in this Ninja. I mean she LOVES it. I have been using this machine several times a week which is highly unusual for my don't-really-like-to-cook cooking style. The smaller bowl is the right size for one to two people, while the larger bowl is sized for larger portions. With the larger bowl I was able to cook two Cornish Hens. Their picture showing it cooking a whole chicken is wishful thinking IMO. I don't think possible unless that is a very small chicken. I find grilled vegetables come out great, as do baked potatoes and roasted mini potatoes. Grilled eggplant and peppers have been very tasty. I have attempted a sort of stir fry but since vegetables require different cooking times I found that sequencing the vegetables too time consuming. No fault of the machine as I was asking it to do something it was not designed to do. I tried their tater tot recipe and it was pretty good. I keep trying to create new ways to use this machine and know I have not yet explored its limits. Sometimes if I put too much food into the smaller bowl I will get foods slightly stuck onto the heating element. But never had any problem removing that food. I have not tried baking cakes or anything of that sort but plan to try sometime. This is one of the most versatile machine I have come across and the reason I would buy it again. I've started to enjoy cooking again due to this little machine.

Great product. Easy to use. Easy to take apart and clean. Interchangable bowls. Doesn't take up much counter space and works very well. Highly recommend!

This has been a great product - appreciate that we have 2 different size dishes which provides flexibility in what we can cook and how much. Easy to use and cleans up easily as the dishes are dishwasher safe. We use it a few times a week.

UPDATE: This is on me for assuming and not thoroughly reading up on all the aspects of this machine. It’s still a great machine, however, you cannot adjust the temperature. Had I known, would I still have purchased it? Not sure. However, similar to my original review about not being aware of this product’s existence, had I known there was another model that allows you to adjust the temperature, I would have purchased that one. I have no idea how I missed it. Normally, when there are different levels to a product, they will pop up in your search. I might donate this one and purchase the other model.We shall see. Still, if not being able to adjust the temperature is not an issue for you, I still highly recommend this machine. ******************************************************* I love air fryers. For someone who is not a “chef,” any appliance that makes cooking easier, I am all for it. I have owned three air fryers, the most recent being the dual basket Ninja air fryer. Love it, but even the smallest one takes up a lot of counter space. Also, it takes a little effort to get set up (for those of us who don’t have a dedicated spot for the fryer or a smaller kitchen). For whatever reason, I had no knowledge of this crisper. However, when I saw it and even though I purchased the dual bin air fryer a year earlier, I still purchased this one. I know…I know that seems wasteful, but I will still have occasion to use the larger one. This crisper is PERFECT for someone like me who makes a lot of small, solo meals. I can come home, lift the top, throw in a few wings, or fries or toast bread or “re-crisp” fries or wings. It is a game changer for me. I no longer have to pull out the larger model as this one fits on my countertop without taking up much space. It’s efficient, not loud and does an excellent job on all settings. And while I love my dual basket fryer, had I known about this one beforehand, I would have only purchased this one. It is worth the purchase.

The small, introductory cookbook gives you plenty to begin with - the instructions are comprehensive and clear. The glass 'basket' gives you confidence since you can see what is happening inside in read time. The baker/fryer arrived in perfect condition and is compact enough to sit out on our counter - needful for me since it prompts me to cook in this new way rather than just defaulting to the pans and the stove. The clean up is a breeze since everything but the top heating element is dishwasher safe. It is on the quiet side and has produced some lovely meals. We are a family of 2 so possibly the larger size Ninja Crispi would be more useful for a larger family.

I bought this air fryer because a friend recommended it for me. I love it and I use it almost every day. I only have to cook for myself, but it’s not really for a large family. I will say that the only issue I have is that it gets dirty between the bottom of the glass and the element that holds it together. Due to the fact that you CANNOT separate these two elements, it is hard to clean. The small gap between the glass and the element is extremely hard to get into. I have tried with a tiny brush and it still has the greasy spots. I deal with it, because I have to. If you are OCD about these small things, trust me, it will bother you. I’m still trying to find a way to get rid of the grease spots in this area. I do wish they would have designed it with the bottom being removable for cleaning.

I was pleased reading about this Now that I have it and they offer better savings on their site! however it cooks with wonder and surprise every time! I simply love the ease of it and the clean up is wonderful it is compact and takes apart easily so it fits in most cabinets. Quality looks good only time will tell. Noisy i think Smell yes but after a good wash it goes away. ??stickiness well I sprayed PAM on the insert because it you don't you will have issues with cleaning. There is no pictures for I think you will know just by the great reviews it gets look on you tube! that's where I got the bug from!!

As of 12/6/25: I personally love this air fryer for various reasons: 1. Glass container allows you to see the food cooking. 2. No preheating allows faster time for food to cook. 3. The air fryer is small enough to leave on the kitchen counter in a small kitchen space 4. This airfryer is easy to use with only 4 options 5. Glass container is easy to clean. Few cons: 1. Lack of temperature control. If certain foods require specific temperature, I would rather use my ninja airgrill. 2. Its smaller in size by design. I would use my ninja airgrill to cook larger quality of food.
