I finally got around to testing this kettle and it worked GREAT! I would give it six stars if I could. It's currently about 26ºF outside and this kettle heated 20 ounces of water to a rolling boil in about three (3) minutes (not including the time it took to get a fire started). Furthermore, because of the design the fire sounded like a rocket stove getting ready to take off. Great kit, BUY IT!

I always wanted one of these ever since Girl Scout Camp back in the 50's. Beautifully made, great quality, will last my lifetime and hopefully, my grandkids will see the usefulness. Plan on taking it out to have a fun lunch but that isn't the main reason I wanted it. I want it in case I need to evacuate for any reason. So happy I purchased it. A great piece of mind.

Just got it in Mongolia, works perfectly, However the package is missing the Gripper, Grate, and Pot support, thought these three were supposed to come in the box?!

Works great , we camp a lot and this makes coffee faster than anything we have tried before

Bought this for my son and his new wife for a wedding present. They love it.

Firstly, they sent me a pot support with two right pieces and not a right and left. Their solution was to send the entire kit back. Given that it was easier for me to spend another $10, I instead ordered another pot supoort. Secondly, on the 1st trip out, the chain holding the plug broke. You need the chain to pour the hot boiling water out. Ugh. Otherwise, it worked good.

This is perfect for emergency situations. Good quality.

I'm a fly fishing guide around Quebec city and when I pull this kettle out at lunch time, my clients are always amazed at how simple and efficient this thing is! I can see this kettle being a little big for backpacking but when travelling by car/atv/canoe, it turns out to be a great addition to any outdoorsman out there. I really like the fact that I don't need to carry fuel or white gas to make my coffee and cook lunch. It's definitely the best out there, I will use it for years to come.

This is a great product and works as described. My friend and i used it for our 1 month long roadtrip. Most of the time, we would start our fire using doritos (best fire starter!!)

Have not tested the cooking capabilities yet since we have not had emergency conditions yet, but did unpack all the components from the box to check them out. Everything appears sturdy and well made. Very well thought out. Engineered to fit together. And yes, everything does fit in the bag as advertised. I think the stainless steel pans should also work for induction hot plates. We are a little worried about whether the kettle might tip off the hobo stove. We are rigging a way to keep it stable. All in all, well -satisfied.

I've wanted one for a while now.. happy I finally forked out the cash for it! boils water FAST! SOLID! I'm looking forward to using it more!

Bought this for my husband for winter camping. He says it works like a hot damn and he’s thrilled. Heats water very quickly and easily.
