Charming and Delightful
Sleepovers was read as I came across this book through Vanya’s RemedialBookClub. It is their first read and I decided to read it as well. I need something sweet to calm and heal me. The book is a children’s book and is about four friends Amy, Bella, Chloe, and Emily. Daisy is the new one at school, and she is the one who starts the alphabet club given they are A, B, C, D, and E. With this starts attending birthday parties which are sleepovers, and how over time their friendship develops. Wilson writes about young girls and their sisterhood in the sweetest and real manner. The insecurities, the envy, the joy, and the fun are evident. Sleepovers is a book also about horrible children can be to each other, but is a lesson on empathy and kindness which we so need in the world we live in. The book also speaks of disability that people shy away from. It touches on being bullied and how it can be dealt with if your support system is strong enough. I think it is a great read to also be read aloud and enacted. Sleepovers was a break that was much needed.

Good read for children of age nine to 12
A story of a girl who joins a group of four other girls who are different in their warmth, upbringing and attitude.what remains of the group when each of them take turns to have sleepovers at their places, as part of ones birthday celebration, is what makes up the story. Good read for children of age nine to 12

I really enjoyed reading this book!
My daughter, who is now 19, recommended that I read this book, which she loved when she was much younger. I really enjoyed reading it. Jacqueline Wilson understands the way kids think and act, their worries, fears, conflicts, and what is most fun and exciting to them. "Sleepovers" is beautifully written, and the plot's conception and execution are impeccable. The British slang was fun and easy to follow, even though I am not a native English speaker.I recently read "The story of Tracy Beaker," and it is another magnificent book by Jacqueline Wilson! Now I am her fan! :)

Very Good Read for Middle-School Aged Children
My grand-daughter wished there had been some pictures which would have brought the book into 'greater focus'. Otherwise, with the help of an adult she found it enjoyable.
