THIS is a useful book!!
I've read several guerrilla marketing books because I found Jay Conrad Levinson's "Guerrilla Marketing - 3rd Edition" to be so significant in the marketing success of Novacon Internet Services and several other organizations that I have been associated with. Other marketing and sales books and seminars have been useful to a great extent, but I really resonate with guerrilla marketing techniqes for our company, one of the largest independant ISPs in Chicago. I use my guerrilla marketing library of books for reference and problem solving. A great resource for ideas and real-world insights.Now comes "Guerrilla Marketing in 30 Days" with a unique twist. Your whole marketing plan laid out in 30 days, and a process that accomodates even the most time-challenged manager. The book distills proven marketing techniques that are found in dozens of other guerrilla marketing books and lays out an effective action plan that can be implemented quickly, leading to client acquisition and improved profits. The chapters are clearly written, easy to understand and the techniques should be easy for all small & medium sized businesses to execute. Guerrilla marketing is all about inspiration, perspiration, a battle plan and an expenditure of little or no money on weapons (guerrilla marketing techniques).Chapter 1 - The Guerrilla Marketing Mindset begins by showing the reader how to approach business development as a guerrilla. Everything you say and do as a person or organization can affect your brand, revenues and profits. Levinson and Lautenslager encourage readers to ask themselves the same question every day; "How am I building awareness with my prospects and clients through our marketing?" Everyone, especially people with multiple responsibilites in an organization, should ask that question daily and work to improve their efforts. Keep your eye on the prize. Sales solves alot of other problems!The message is clear. While "Guerrilla Marketing in 30 Days" leads you though the develoment and execution of your marketing plan in 30 days (or 35, or even 40), The guerrilla mindset is a permanent benefit that you can benefit from for years to come. "Just Do It" every day, no doubt, is what Al Lautenslager preaches to his customers as a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach.What follows are chapters on goal-setting, competitive research, targeting and positioning your SMB. This book has brought new ideas and techniques to the table and reminded me of things that need to be moved up to the front burner. Quick Summary of Guerrilla Marketing
The Guerrilla Marketing franchise has been around for over 2 decades, and now Jay Conrad Levinson, a key founder has died. It broke new ground then. I purchased this newer (3rd) edition of the "...30 days" book not for new ideas, but to have much of the Guerrilla Marketing methods summed up in one book, to use as needed. And given this thinking, the book is very useful. Much of the advice is timeless, and even its discussion of social media, while a little dated, still has basic principles that can be used with any platform. Was purchased used providing tremendous value. Still plenty of easily actionable material that will enhance a company's visability at little to no monetary cost (obviously time and effort are involved).

Marketing Guru!
We had Al on our podcast, The Entrepreneurs Library, to give a full run down of Guerrilla Marketing in 30 Days. He is an educated man and the book is phenomenal! If you want to get a review from the author himself check out Episode 4.You will want to pick it up immediately!!

Not like the original Guerrilla Marketing book from Levinson or Godin!
Not like the original Guerrilla Marketing book and really sad that the author put Jay Levinson's name on the book. This is nothing like the 396 page original book with Levinson and Godin. I was looking at tips, strategies and information like the old book, if looking for that, this is NOT the book for you.

A Necessity!
This book is a NECESSITY for a small business person like myself that has a majority of my customers come from my local market. A lot of marketing approaches are to complex. These ideas can be used TODAY, you don't really need to "ramp up"!

Very easy read, gives some clear pointers on how to do guerrilla marketing, while not all information may apply to your specific business it does give interesting advice and ideas when you are feeling lost on the subject.

I was disappointed and it suffers from a poor writing style
I am a big believer in the Guerrilla Marketing ideas and I'm a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach but I have struggled with this book.Thirty days equals thirty chapters and I only managed to stomach reading the first twelve chapters and skimmed the remainder, dipping in occasionally. The writing is that bad and it is in a very different style to Jay Conrad Levinson's classic "Guerrilla Marketing" (see my 5 star review of Guerrilla Marketing Fourth Edition). I have since heard Jay Levinson confess in an interview that he does little work in his co-written books so this is down to Al Lautenslager.It may be harsh but turn away from "Guerrilla Marketing In 30 Days" but turn towards Guerrilla Marketing. The quality standard has not been maintained in this co-authored book and it is a concern I have with several of the other Guerrilla Marketing books as well.Buried in here are some good tips and the book has survived several of my regular purges of my business library. Those not on my Kindle take up far too much space. It's become a book I refer to sometimes but I've no intention of trying to read it from start to finish.I really don't want you to get the wrong impression of Guerrilla Marketing because of one poor experience. At its best, Guerrilla Marketing is a very structured small business marketing solution which is proven to work for all kinds of different small businesses all over the world.Paul Simister, a business coach who helps business owners who are stuck, get unstuck.
