Classic Light Aircraft: An Illustrated Look, 1920s to the Present

I was attracted by the cover of the book but somewhat disappointed. It contains a collection of fantastic pictures of the light aircraft but it falls short of more details about the design or the performance of the aircraft e.g. what are the unique design features of each aircraft and benefits, will greatly enhance the book. Just said how many were built or still flying are not really of interest. Also as a 'plane-spotter' book, a table at the back of the book with the registration number, country of registration and the aircraft type with key performance parameters will help the reader to identify the aircraft type. Overall, it's a good book.

Great gift for my dad, who flies and builds small aircraft. His new favourite toilet read, Our families best reading spot.

A useful guide, if a little idiosyncratic.

Hours of browsing and memory jerking. I love discovering aircraft I've never heard of before : )
