DSM-5 Self-Exam Questions: Test Questions for the Diagnostic Criteria

For my counseling degree, I took a psychopathology class. We had timed “quizzes” that were the most difficult I’ve ever had. Those questions were literally taken word for word from this book. Wish I had gotten it sooner. Supposedly, these questions are similar to the NCE.

I'm in a PMHNP program and this book was recommended to me by a practitioner who graduated a year ago. It has been very helpful, studying for tests and I'm sure it will be, studying for the certification exam. The book helps with using the questions in practice. I highly recommend.

It was useful in understanding the DSM Assignments.

This book really helped me in my Diagnosis class. There are 2 main parts of this book. The first is the multiple choice section which is divided by content topic, following the DSM-5 organization of content. The second section is organized the same but with the answer, and what I loved, the explanation for the answer. This book really helped me better apply the DSM-5 criteria to real world situations. Highly recommend this book to anyone studying the DSM-5. Expensive but worth the investment. My only wish is that there was a comprehensive test somewhere.

Was originally sketched out that it was only $20 after hearing other people paying $50-$100, but it came in brand new and was equivalent to my classmates who paid wayyy more. I did not get scammed, so it was worth the $20!

This book is great reference to the dsm 5. Good scenarios for diagnosis and explanations for changes.
