The image sharpness is fine, zoom would be not more than 8x and the image gets streached on its borders, the image you see in eyepiece is very clear, there is no chromatic Abberation, seems like lens coating works well. The rotation of the focusing is very smooth. You can read registeration plate number of vehicles 100 meter away easily. Kids can use it with ease too, inexpensive and descent quality.

Does the job...Happy with purchase
You cant expect ultra zooming device at this price. It does basic job of monocular. Obviously not 30x zoom but 8 to 10X is achievable. You can read text on boards as far as 100-150 meters....happy with the purchase for price paid....came with strap, pouch and cleaning cloth....Delicate item Amazon delivered with superb packaging to avoid damage....
