Perfect For Price - ALSO INCLUDES SCROLL FIX DIRECTIONS
I wasn't big into the fancy Mac mice, especially the prices they run. I wanted one that would be reliable, have a left and right click, but also not have to use batteries. For the price I decided to give this a try, and it's been perfect. As a photographer I don't want to carry a ton of batteries with me on trips, and having a wired mouse (though it can get in the way if your desk is messy) means no battery dying and it's always working. Granted you do lose a USB port. I did run into the issue of the mouse scroll stop working, and here's how I went about fixing it: i) Take the top part of the mouse out by getting something like small flat head and lifting up around the left/right click. It'll be tough, but it will eventually pop off. ii) Pop the mouse board out of the mouse, but be gentle as the wires can rip out and then you're out of luck. iii) You will see two plastic pieces which the scroll bar sits in at the bottom of the mouse. Push the right side one in a bit, then place the board back in. Scroll the wheel and you should feel the resistance you used to have. Then just sit it all back in place, and pop the top of the mouse back on. It should work! Keep in mind that this will cause the scroller to rub a bit on the mouse, resulting in a bit of stiffness or more resistance than you would have had with the mouse brand new, but it will fix the issue. I don't know for how long as I've just fixed mine, but if it saves you $10 it's a win! I would assume if it becomes loose you can do this step again, but being the plastic piece isn't very stiff I would think over time it would eventually wear down itself.

Bumper Mouse
I've been buying Macs for a long time, and I've never liked any of the mice that came with them. The Bluetooth wireless Apple "Magic Mouse" that came with my new iMac is no exception: you cannot tell if you're right clicking or left-clicking the one-piece shell... and it goes through batteries with a vengeance. Trying to draw with that critter is like drawing with a banana. OK... it looks swell. Macally Wired Bumper Mouse to the rescue! It has TWO unmistakeable buttons. It has a wire. It's wheel scrolls smoothly. With its precision optical sensor, you can draw fairly decently. It does not open every file in a folder when it's not supposed to. It works seamlessly with OS x 10.8.4 No more weekly "Low Battery" messages. It's WAY better than Apple's own Magic Mouse! The only thing this mouse won't do is nibble on a hunk of cheese... not even slightly interested. UPDATE: Two years later, the BumperMouse is still going strong and works like a charm. I'm beginning to wear off the "lly" on the "Macally" logo on the top of the mouse---I consider such wear signs of love. The price for this mouse is now half of what I paid for it when it first came out: a real bargain! 2nd UPDATE: Barely two weeks after my previous update (still going strong and works like a charm) the scroll wheel stopped scrolling! Prying the mouse apart and removing the amazing collection of scunge from within could not revive it. This confirms my suspicion that bad karma can be unleashed when a reviewer does not leave well-enough alone and UPDATES his initial review with further brags. Since this mouse served me well for so long, I will not delete any stars. Wearing the logo off of any product is a sign of longevity; it shows that the manufacturer paid attention to what is really important.

An inexpensive, competent computer mouse that just works
The Macally Wired 3 Button Optical USB Mouse is a very simple computer mouse that will work with a Mac or a PC. This is really a simple, bare-bones, wired mouse, with a right click, left click, and a scroll wheel that can also be used as a button. I am using it as a mouse on my home iMac. Yes, I also have a Bluetooth, Apple Magic Mouse and I do love the thing. However, it is because I love the Magic Mouse so much that I purchased this one, so tha tthe Magic Mouse would not be tortured by my elementary school and high school aged children. First, this mouse will never run out of power--it is wired. Second, the kids will never be able to spirit it away from the computer--because it is wired. Third, this little mouse puts up with a lot of abuse and still works--it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. But it's not just a hardy little guy, it's also a great computer mouse. It's not a high-resolution gaming device, but for day-to-day computing the mouse is pretty close to perfect. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but what it does it does just fine. It is ergonomic enough and easy to use and its point and click is up there with the best of them. All functions are smooth and work perfectly. So what's not to like? Recommended.

Great product. Go green. Ditch the batteries. Tether your mouse, oh techie. You'll be happy.
This is a great mouse! I bought a second one for our Mac at home. My PC laptop uses a battery powered mouse, and that battery last a year. Meanwhile Mac's battery powered wireless mouse gobbles up batteries every few months. No more of that for us. I simply plugged it into a USB port and it is good to go. I love the feel and action. If you think about it, having a wireless mouse on a stationary desktop is totally unnecessary. Nothing is going anywhere. Technology simply for technology's sake is goofy. Tether your mouse. No more batteries. THAT is being green. And saves money. And works great. I don't understand why what appears to be the lesser-tech product (800dpi) is more costly than the 1000dpi model. Whatever. 800dpi works perfectly swell.

Dopo tanti mause ho trovato uno giusto per me. Ho le mani grandi e con questo mi trovo perfettamente. Molto preciso nel rispondere. Per me il filo è un po' troppo lungo, ma forse un giorno ne avrò bisogno 😊
