Ateco Wunderbag Decorating Bag, 18-Inch, Reusable, Professional Grade & Heavy Duty Construction White

Needed to replace some old, sad decorating bags so I treated myself to these. Just love them---very high quality and easy to wash (no greasy residue). These are well made and fabric is substantial without being too stiff. So while these are not inexpensive, you get what you pay for, IMO. Loved them when frosting the tops of lemon curd filled coconut cupcakes. Note: these are for occasional home use by an enthusiastic but amateur baker / decorator.

I like the length of the bag, for chocolates molds, my lemon glaze donuts or my everything bagels. This is perfect. High fat recipes do not stain the bag, easy to wash with a little soap and water. Bag will just need some good use to break it in. It is a bit stiff but that is because it is of great quality. Solid construction, excellent seams and reinforced fabric and stitching at the tip.

I didn't want all that avoidable plastic waste, so I researched reusable bags and this one seemed to be the best quality most durable ones. Being German made also means it complies with all EU food safety regulations. I first bought the 21" (a size for any foreseeable need) and cut it so it would fit both a large tip on it's own and a standard coupler. The reinforced tip makes using it without the coupler easy and it paired well with my Wilton attachments. It's excellent, and it may seem too stiff at first, but it does soften with use. I also wanted it to fit my 'twist fit coupler", but it would require a larger whole so I bought second bag in 14" because most of the time a 21" can be too big. I'm very satisfied with the results and recommend the Wunderbag to anyone who cares to not pollute the world unnecessarily.

I got this along with the Ateco Standard Couplers and a set of Ateco piping tips with the assumption that it would be perfect for making Amarettini cookies. You have to be VERY careful about how much you cut off the tip, or else the bag is essentially useless if you use it without the benefit of piping tips.Either the Ateco Standard Couplers or larger Ateco Couplers will NOT work with this bag because the bag itself is too thick and reinforced with polyurethane for the coupler and the standard Ateco tips to work, You're much better off cutting off a little bit off the tip at a time just to the point where you can open it up, then put the piping tip inside the bag and hope you don't make too much of a mess. It looks like the Ateco piping bag, couplers, and tips are meant for veteran pastry chefs, and NOT for beginners.

I was buying disposable bags, and never again. i thought it was hard piping, but its just because the bags i had weren't great. granted i used these to pipe my whipped sugar scrubs! but it made it so easy . i will def buy again. it just has a nice sturdy feel, no slipping, out of my hand or squeezing it unevenly .also very easy to clean, my oil and sugar literally washes right off with warm soap and water.

The product should be great but there is a hard tape on the edge which is not on the product image. I thought it was defective and asked support but never got reply. I will try to use it as it is
