we out here presents a significant slice of whats happening in current jazz in 2019. rooted in traditions but reaching for the future. every cut is great. every artist is a budding star. if you could buy only one jazz release this year - this would be the one to get. fifty five stars.

Wer Spiritual-Jazz mag, wird diese Platte nur lieben können.Auch das Cover alleine wäre schon Grund genug für einen Kauf.Hier ist der musikalische Inhalt aber auf gleichem Niveau mit der Plattengestaltung.Für die Ewigkeit gemacht.

A must-buy for any jazz enthusiast
Contemporary jazz is clearly alive and well and living in South London. I had never heard of any of these artists when I bought this album, intrigued by its invitation to sample a whole new jazz scene, and I have to say that each and every track is excellent in its own way. Fantastically varied in style, mood and tempo, the thread running through it is a youthful, vibrant musicianship which is not afraid to take old ideas and turn them into something fresh and modern. A revelation for me, and a must-buy for any jazz enthusiast.
