RuiiGuu UNO Project Super Starter Kit with Tutorial and UNO R3 Compatible with Arduino IDE

I bought this kit for me to introduce to my 10 year old grandson to the art of building and programming computer based electronic circuits. The thing I liked was no soldering required to make a circuit and plenty variety of hardware provided to make many different circuits possible and interesting to his age. The set of tutorials was well written and each had a downloadable program that was easy to download to the Arduino processor provided. So it was follow the text and pictures by plugging in the correct components and jumper wires, down load the program and sit back and be inspired by your efforts. That worked great for the first tutorial and his face lit up with pride. He said he would like to do the next tutorial without help and so I sat back and watched and spotted an error in the diagram of the circuit which when he completed building it nothing happened which we both expected. I showed him where the error on the diagram was and he corrected it and it worked. The next tutorial the program would not download and gave an error message. I looked at the code and spotted another error which on correction it all worked fine. So a great concept as a learning tool but very poor quality control spoils it totally as without me correcting these basic faults which required my basic expertise he would have been disappointed and have gained only a bad experience. I would thus not recommend purchase of this kit unless you are familiar with circuit design and programming and fault finding. It is obvious to me that there was no quality control in the manufacturing of this kit as it would only have taken a few hours for the manufacturer to have had this kit independently tested and these simple errors corrected. An excellent ides ruined by lack of quality control.

was missing the powerboard i would send it back but i caint afford to send it back i was looking forward to learning with my son. i understand stand that mistake happen its a nice kit as well and looking forwad to lean with my son i understand that some times this sort of things happen i hope my review dont stop people from bying this as i am looking forward to having some funn make stuff with my son

So far so good.Lots of sensors and accessories in the box to get you started.The kit comes with tutorials but I'm finding YouTube more helpful and easier to understand, having something more visual especially when preparing the circuits.The Ruiguu Arduino kit has in it almost everything you could want to get you going, it should provide hundreds of hours of fun and frustration and learning to get your projects working.

I bought this kit and when received the Arduino was dead, I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement board with VERY little fuss. I received the new board and it works perfect!This kit is truly perfect for the newcomer to electronics and Arduinos, it has eveything you need to get started!

It has no insurance so you have to look it up and ues the internet

The media could not be loaded.  Purchased to familiarise ARDUINO projects. Kit contained all needed to learn ARDUINO. 21different projects to play with which is fantastic!!

The kit was fine, apart from the uno board didn't work at all, I'm sure I emailed someone regarding this. I ended up purchasing a MEGA board on it's own and used the items in the kit for that so I can't exactly return it now!

Great value for getting beginners started on a wide variety of projects. The software disk is very helpful too.
