This almost caught our house on FIRE beware!!!!!!! Plastic piece that lightbulb screws into became extremely hot, light bulb exploded, pendant light came crashing down. Glass everywhere. Plastic is melted in socket. Was using a low wattage LED bulb.

Arrived with side piece shattered/broken. Read the other 1-2 star reviews... seems to be a trend. JACKYLED is so disappointing.This is my 2nd product from JACKYLED and I am 0/2 unfortunately. The company doesn't care what kind of experience you've had with their products or their company. They also don't stand behind their products.I highly recommend you stay away from this product.

This product worked great for me. Just what I needed.I bought this originally because I saw in one of the Q&A's that it was possible to disassemble it (to feed the cord through a hole for example), but when it arrived I realized it really didn't come apart all the way.I contacted the seller and asked if it was possible, and they got back to me really quickly! They told me that it was not made to be disassembled all the way (like all the way down to disconnecting the wires from the socket), and advised me that they do not recommend people try since it could damage the unit unintentionally, however, they did give me instructions to try if I wanted to go ahead and try to disassemble it. I needed to feed the cord through a small hole in a lamp I was building, so I did give it a try. It worked great - the instructions they provided were clear and helpful, and I am grateful they took the time to help me, even though they generally don't recommend people disassemble the unit. They could have just told me to return it and get a different one. Or they could have told me "tough luck" but they didn't and I appreciate that!Some reviews mention that the switch is too close to the socket, but I find it's a perfect distance for a desk lamp or something similar. If you watch the video from the seller, it explains there are two versions of this product - one with the switch close to the wall, and one with the switch close to the socket.

This is a great little hanging light for the price, especially if that's all you need... bare bulb and that's it. However, if you hang the cord across the ceiling, you're going to want a chain on it to avoid damage. The hooks included will do this, but I'm concerned that it could eventually damage the wiring inside. If it does, I'm not terribly worried about it since it's so cheap. However, if you're going to attach a shade or anything, it's safer to get a chain. That being said, you're going to need to get some type of fitter to go over the bulb if you want attach any type of shade or cover. So, if you're looking at this item with plans of attaching one, you might be better off getting a kit that already has these items included. In any case, buying those things separately didn't really make the price any higher than if I had bought the entire kit in the first place, plus I have a spare cord, but it was less convenient. It's up to you which of these is more of a concern for you.

it is well constructed, and switch is apparently durable. BUT, RATING OF DEVICE is 660 W, but SWITCH is 3A at 125v, for approx. 350 W, NOT 660 W. I have sent a comment to seller alsoADENDUM, I notified the company about the switch rating, they have edited the description. GREAT customer response. AND, great product. If you use LED lights with these, there will probably never BE any power over-use issue anyway

We don’t have a central light in our bedroom, and this allowed us to pretend like we did! I must say the location of the switch is incredibly annoying since it’s so close to the bulb’s socket. Stringing it up along the ceiling meant I’d have to get my boyfriend (who’s much taller than I am) to turn it on and off for us since I just can’t reach that high. There’s another model with a different styled switch located closer to the plug than the bulb socket. If I could have a do-over, I’d probably get that one instead for ease of access. Otherwise I really do love this cord and am very pleased with my purchase!

One of our light fixtures in the garage quit working, and rather than pay an expensive electrical bill we decided to purchase a portable light fixture which was LED, brighter, and more economical than replacing the fixture.We wanted the capability to turn the fixture on and off easily, and needed a long chord to connect to a ceiling fixture.This kit came with sturdy hardware, including anchors, to hang the fixture, which screwed into the socket like a light bulb. The lamp chord cable plugs into existing electrical plugs in the garage.The switch is far enough away from the plug so that you can easily switch the light on and off.We can now see in the garage again without resorting to grabbing a flashlight.Good design work.

They're a hanging lamp cord, what's there to day? But honestly, they're pretty great. I needed something to put more lights over my houseplants and these fit the bill for a good price. They look clean and tidy, and with my white ceiling they kind of blend in and don't stand out, exactly what I was looking for. The cord is a nice weight and didn't remain all bent up and kinked for ages; I unraveled and hung them up over night and let gravity go to work. They weren't perfect the next day, but over the next few days after I hung them where I wanted and the cords straightened out pretty well. The on/off switch isn't in the best location for where I am using them, but that's on me. Eventually they'll be plugged into smart plugs and have automatic timers set anyway, so I wasn't necessarily looking for a cord with a switch, it's just a nice bonus.

Great price - the length is also wonderful (enough to swag the cord and run it down a wall to a nearby wall plug, but it also comes with the little j hooks and plastic holders for the cord. I love the fact that it's black! I love being able to have a black cord for my dark walls in my room - I loathed those glaring white Ikea lamp cords!

Dont put a 200w bulb on these. Thats asking for swich failure or socket failure.I have been able to push 1.25a at 110v) through these with no failure. FLIR shows like3c over ambient. so... Yeash

I bought the 2-pack, and fortunately I did, because one of them arrived broken. Besides the broken one, it works well for what I need it for.
