Works very well and it's a sturdy build. I was pleasantly surprised how well this worked on grinding meat for my ragu. The grind quality is very good. I Bought this to make more use out of my wife's kitchen aid and can say it's worth the price the quality is better than expected.The pieces are made all of metal and the grinder seems to be cast iron with does put it on the heavier side but not to heavy, about the same weight as a 10in cast iron pan. It's easy to use and quick to clean up. Make great ground beef for hamburgers and meatballs.

This was a gift for our grandson who is a chef. He was so excited to use it he ran to the store for the meat and made an Italian dish that night. It’s Kitchen Aid and well made. It’s easy to connect the grinder to the stand mixer and works like a charm.

This is excellent. Strong, robust, well-designed, and works great. I ran semi-frozen beef and chicken breast thru the coarse grind plate at 2 speed, and soon we will be eating burgers for dinner. Chicken breast is way cheaper than ground chicken, so after 50 meals, I may even break even on the purchase. You will long forget the price but not the quality. BUT and a big BUT, pay attention to what is dishwasher safe and what is not or you will ruin the unit.

This is great. First, you should know that I am not a baker, cook or anything close to that but I need to start making nutritious food for my dogs requiring me to buy 'home-maker' items I never thought of buying. I have only used an old style manual grinder and that was when I was a child (long time ago). This grinder is perfect and automatic and attaches to my new Kitchen Aid Mixer (7 quart - that I also had to buy) without any issues. Just make sure you put the attachments in correctly. It is not real clear in the manual since they only have pictures but once you put it in the wrong way one time, you won't do it again. I wash all of this by hand as indicated. The brush that comes with this will scratch the top part of the grinder so only use the brush for the insides.
