Easy to use and works well for checking feet for problems related to diabetic neuropathy with regard to feet. This is the same device used by doctors to check your feet, and the plastic case it comes in is sort of cute, too.

This helped with completing examinations during my medical school exams and during rounds while in my clinical years, I've used it since completion of medical school up until it was stolen...definitely good to have and I will be repurchasing since I'm now working in Internal medicine.

I was looking for a good monofilament to use at work, and this one was perfect. Small, fits in my pocket easily, not overpriced like many I saw -- I'm glad I found these. I bought several so I could share with my coworkers, and we have all been happy with them. We try hard to keep up with our diabetic foot checks, and these, small, convenient monofilaments help.

1. A large barcode sticker was placed on the actual product that wouldn't come off.2. The filament fell out within one test use - no quality control.You're better off paying the money for a higher quality item.

I ordered these filaments for my daughter who is in med school, not only are they practical, but done very tastefully as well. She loved them. Best of all they were delivered before expected and correspondence from supply company was well received.

I opened it and closed it a few times to test the feel of it as soon as it arrived. I later went to use it again and the filament was missing. I later found the filament on the floor. It must have slipped out of the handle and fell out through the hole in the cover. I lost the small bright red filament before I could take the photos. If I did not lose it, I probably could have repaired it. Cute and solid otherwise so I gave it 3 stars for the design, despite the poor quality control. Takes a moment to steady your hand to aim the filament back in the sheath. I bought the Geekidoc version of this at the same time. It has almost the same design, but it had different quality control problems. See that review.

Good product for the price!

I needed a monofilament that wasn't too heavy. This fit the ticket. It's small and very easy to use. I also like that the monofilament part is covered to keep it from getting bent or getting germs all over my coat.
