Great quality holder with a bonus
I looked at every hitch mount flagpole holder on the market and all were more expensive than this with mixed reviews. I wanted one to hold a 2" flagpole and decided on one that was open at both ends because it seemed more stable. Reading the reviews of the more expensive holder I was going to buy showed that even though advertised as holding a 2" pole...it wouldn't. I took a chance on this one as it looked similar and I couldn't be happier. It seems very well made and quite sturdy with clean welds and nice paint. Nothing seems cheap or flimsy and surprise, if you don't use the lower bolt, the bottom is open allowing the pole to rest on the ground. The description doesn't say this and it sure was a welcome bonus. With the low price and great quality you can't go wrong with this.

Not for 2" diameter flag pole! But solid otherwise.
It is NOT FOR A 2" FLAG POLE! Other than that it is solid. Had to use it as a mount for my smaller diameter flag poles as it did not work for my stationary.

Poor manufacturing and no inspection.
The unit was not inspected prior to shipment. The retaining nut at the bottom was damaged during the welding process, so it will not accept the supplied bolt. Now I have to purchase a clean out tap to repair the nut if it can actually be repaired. Otherwise have a piece of steel welded on the bottom of the last tube.

Served it's Purpose
The opening of the flagpole holder was a much too large for my flagpole (1in). Had to modify in order for it to work. Also, the screw to secure the pole in the holder was larger than the hole for it. Again, we modified to make it work.
