Delicious but where's the crab?
I've tried both Fishpeople's Crab Bisque & Clam Chowder, and they're both delicious. The flavor is so complex yet comforting enough to taste like an old-fashioned homemade soup. I love the fact that this soup is gluten-free. I've been gluten-free for 10 years, and it's very difficult to find good, creamy gluten-free soups, so I was super excited about this. Also appreciate that the plastic is BPA free and that it's microwaveable. It's such a quick, convenient lunch or dinner. The microwave warmed it up perfectly, and it was easy to remove from the bag and pour into a bowl.My only complaint is that there just isn't nearly enough seafood in either soup. The crab bisque had a couple of chunks of crab and shrimp, but the clam chowder seriously didn't have a single piece of clam that I could find. If I somehow missed them, they must've been so tiny. The crab bisque needs more ingredients all the way around because it's really just a cream-based broth, and the clam chowder is mostly potatoes. In any other case, I would give these soups a lower rater because it is frustrating when you buy a soup, whether canned or at a restaurant, expecting it to contain the seafood it advertises and it doesn't, but the flavor and consistency of these soups is just so spot-on that I can't rate it any lower. I'll continue to buy them despite the lack of actual seafood. I just hope Fishpeople will consider adding more crab/shrimp/clams to their soups in the future.

It was pretty good I think
I thought the soup was pretty good, but also I was super baked... so I dunno?? I probably could have eaten cat food at that point and been happy with it. I liked that you can microwave it in the bag, because low key there are a lot of times where I'll turn the stove on, and then completely space out and find it still on hours later. I actually did try to put in the code online to read the story behind where the fish came from, but it didn't work, and I got distracted thinking about how funny it would be if like hot dog companies started doing that... its like, you sure you wanna know bro?? The package says it serves "one hungry person", and I was definitely one hungry person, both before and after the soup. This was not a whole meal by any stretch of the imagination, and definitely a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Would I buy it again? Eh, I dunno, I'll probably explore other options first and see how they stack up.

Quality ingredients, in a convenient package.
The variety pack is a nice introduction to the different flavors. For me, the smoked salmon chowder is a clear winner. The corn chowder is surprisingly bland, but it's still okay. The portion sizes are a little on the small side, but considering the ingredients, it's still a pretty good value. I just learned that they make several other soups, including an oyster chowder, so I'm off to track those down next. They say you can eat right out of the pouch, but if you're going to try that, you'll probably want to cut a few inches off the top of the package after you heat it up, because it's near impossible to get a spoon deep enough without making a mess. Just grab a bowl and you'll be a lot happier.

Good soup but not enough CLAM flavor
I grew up in Massachusetts, near Rhode Island and I know my clam chowder. I've yet to taste any chowder that matches my own. I wanted to give this a shot because it's portable and convenient. The soup is very nicely seasoned but the seasonings override the CLAM. It's a hearty, smallish bowl of soup but it's not tasting OF THE SEA as much as I'd like. I think they tried too hard to make it "gourmet" and added too much thyme, lemon and cheese.

Absolutely delicious and relatively healthy
First off, this is absolutely delicious. Of course, being what it is, there is more fat than a healthier soup. However, there are a lot of positives like high fiber, vitamins, lots of protein, and less sodium than most canned soups. All in all, definitely worth the price. I would pay double if they added more clam, but for a $5-6 meal, this is hard to beat.

Decent clam flavor, but a bit bland
As far as clam flavor goes, this is fine for what it is. It really is as easy to make as the package suggests. Only thing I'd recommend is you may want to season to taste before enjoying. Because this soup is a bit on the bland side. They may have done this to play it safe, but it still kinda surprised me. Other than that, at least it beats eating canned clam chowder.

Super tasty, super convenient
Fishpeople's Smoked Salmon Chowder makes a very tasty, zero-prep, zero-guilt lunch. As an elementary school teacher with a very short lunch period, I'm always looking for microwaveable lunches (lots of rice and lentils, etc.). I love the convenience of this Fishpeople soup more than others as the soup cooks directly in the pouch which saves me the hassle of finding a can opener and, sometimes, even finding a bowl. I can throw it in the microwave, run and check my mailbox, and come back to a filling (12 grams of protein and 300 calories) and tasty lunch that I can eat right out of the pouch. I like to throw a little hot sauce in mine but it's great without. And as much as I enjoy eating the soup, I'm equally fond of supporting the company--a B Corp--which prioritizes sustainable fishing and using natural ingredients. I'm definitely going to check out their other varieties; the salmon corn chowder and crab bisque both look delish.

Good, but not worth the money
I love the pouch that these come in! you can microwave it and eat out of it so it's great for taking to work for a quick low calorie lunch. The soup itself tastes great, really good flavor BUT the seafood is very much lacking. The salmon one is the only soup of the four with a substantial amount. The razor clam chowder was probably my favorite, but only had a few tiny pieces of clams!I purchased these because it had simple, high quality ingredients and i liked you could trace the source of the seafood. But for the price, I wasn't wowed.I had gotten them on subscribe and save, but will likely cancel and try and find something cheaper.
