Capable of very long ranges and sticks well to the windshield.
I have heard bad things about mounts with the dual suction cups like these have, but I and surprised to say that after thoroughly cleaning the glass and using some good old saliva on the suction cups, it has held up to very harsh bumps, as well as temperatures to -20°F (I will update if it holds up through the summer heat as well) so needless to say I wasted 10 dollars on a mirror mount in anticipation that these little guys wouldn’t hold well. So if you’re doubting the suction I assure you it is very good. I have tapped into the mirror to get power rather than to use the 12v plug in with a chord hanging down in front of me for a much cleaner install as seen in the photos. Now the most important part is performance. I usually do a lot of rural and highway driving so I opted for the cheaper one without the GPS lockout feature. Now I will tell you for me personally the only radar used by law enforcement in my area is Ka band so I’ve locked out X and K band, as K band only goes off any time I drove by a business with automatic opening doors. For Ka range, it is amazing and hasn’t failed me yet. I’d say it can detect to almost a mile away if there are no obstructions like tall buildings. Even driving in a small city, with “city” mode turned on. It detects the cop parked at a gas station several blocks away. Which could be a bad thing if you live on the city as a mike away on stop and go traffic is very early to alert you, you can tinker with the accuracy in the settings though to maybe tune into what best suited your area, there are many tutorials on YouTube to set it up best suited for your location. The radar has always gone off before I see the cop which is good. Overall the customization with the color and brightness and to be able to fine tune the sensitivity for each band is great. Hands down the best all around detector for the price. If you are more of a casual driver that likes to be alerted to radar, and you aren’t an enthusiast that wants to spend $600+ on a radar detector. If you live in a town or rural area without so many false alerts I’d defiantly recommend getting the model without GPS for $100 dollars less, it has the same exact performance.

Excellent at detecting police radar (wet the suction cups)
Set up of the product was easy, all I had to do was plug it in and attach the suction cups. For those of you having trouble making the suction cups fit, try getting your finger wet and rubbing it onto the inside of the cup. I did this and it has been sticking for months with no problems. The device is able to detect police radaring behind me for easily over half a mile. As far as speed traps go, if the police car is sitting far back from the road you might not get a signal until you are very close to in front of them. So be aware of where you are driving, and it will not save you if you are going too fast to slow down in time or from helicopters on the interstate. The device will go off around automatic doors and cars that use radar for collision avoidance systems. You will quickly pick up where these doors are though and both the socket plug and the device itself have a mute button to mute that band temporarily, so it isn't a big inconvenience. The device does very well at picking up K and Ka band.I love the color, sound, and other settings that you can change on the device itself. I was able to change it to a blue that fits my cars dash and to change the sound effects from the annoying default ones. It is a little pricy, but if you want a radar detector, you will not regret the investment. Great product!

Throw the suction cups in boiling water!
Worked great for a 10 hour, multistate trip! Had a few false alarms, but better than a speeding ticket! Suction cups didn’t work too well, but I threw them in some boiling water and it did the trick.

great for the price
ive had mine for a good 8 months now and havent had too many problems with it. i like the customizable settings and the way you can change the menu color and everything. if i had to complain about something itd be how the volume is too loud on 1 ive never raised it above that i can still hear it over my radio so imagine keeping it on 8 everyday... great for literal deaf people 👍 but anyways it has good detection range and doesnt give too many false detections. i keep mine on the highway setting but you can tweak with what it detects and make it detect K band more and ect on the custom setting. the suction cup works great it never fell off my windshield but after a while i ended up just mounting it to my dashboard above the speedometer. this thing doesnt completely save you from speeding tickets, some cops dont keep their radar on the whole time they're scanning so it only detects whats being scanned. this is a great radar detector for the price but if i had more money id get the more expensive unidens. drive safe and f!ck 12, they're out to getcha they arent your friends 🙌

Unboxing review
Preface: I have not tested this product on the street yet. This is purely an unboxing and quality review. I also did not use the windshield suction mount, it looked to be of decent build quality but I decided to mount it to my dash instead. This product looks much better in person than it does in the photos. The screen does have a slight retro or older vibe to it, but is very clear to read and works well. The speakers are loud enough and crisp, no complaints from the few minutes of testing during install in my vehicle. The radar detector itself has a very premium feel, does not have any visible signs of being a more budget friendly detector (no this unit is not cheap, but compared to a $700+ v1 or passport, this is very budget friendly). My initial impression is all 5 stars! I will come back and update if it does not perform well, but I am expecting good things from my initial impressions.10/10 would buy again

Great detector!
Great detector. I always leave it on city mode to avoid false alerts. Has saved me several times.
