Frost Fighter Rear Window Defroster/Defogger Tab Bonding Repair Kit 2000

This product is exactly what you need to repair a broken defroster cable. If you're willing to do it yourself, you'll save hundreds by avoiding a professional repair job or even a window replacement. Best of all, you can do this from beginning-to-end in about 30 minutes total. I ordered this to repair a broken rear-window defroster cable on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU Rubicon. I followed the very clear instructions, and even watched the how-to video to be extra-sure of the process (video is available on Youtube, and a link to it comes with the product). I sanded-down the base of the contact clip, mixed the epoxy, applied it to both the clip and the window, and put the clip on the window. It held securely. Since it was about 60 degrees outside, I used a hair dryer to apply direct heat for about 30 minutes to dry the epoxy. I then let the vehicle sit for about 2 hours to fully set-up before connecting the electrical cable to the clip. After doing so, the clip/cable were both solidly in place. I ran a test the next morning to ensure the defroster worked, and BINBGO! The defroster works just as well as it did the day it was new! Do yourself a favor and get this to fix your broken defroster cable. It's simple, inexpensive, and most importantly, it works! You'll be happy with the time & money you save by doing it yourself!

Worked awesome! Mix 50/50 of both tubes and stir together. Thickens up like JB weld and adhered to glass and tab very well. A little pricey for what it is, but I have used the cheaper ones before that only work 50% of the time. Would definitely recommend.

Just what we need to repair the rear window defroster. We went to three companies to have them help us with the repairing of the window defroster because the wire to the rear window defroster came off. The dealership even said to us that they could not repair the rear window defroster and that we would need to replace the rear window of our jeep for over $1500.00. We watched U-Tube and saw a gentleman work with this item. My husband did the exact same method of using this apoxy and our rear window defroster is working. Thanks for this product.

This product has easy to follow instructions and has a strong bond. Only time will tell if the tab holds but it looks good to me.

My daughter's car, a 2013 Chevy Malibu had the rear window defroster quit working. I took it to a mechanic and they said the contacts on the window had broken off and suggested getting the rear window replaced to get it fixed. The rear windows are pretty expensive. I found this product, I also found some cheaper versions but feel like sometimes you get what you pay for so I bought this even though it was more expensive. Her window doesn't have just tabs but long bars that contact the defroster in multiple places. I followed the directions and added the epoxy to the 5 points that I could see were previously bonded to the glass. I taped them in place and let them dry for 24 hours. I did this several months ago before it got cold. It is finally cold enough to test the defroster and it has been working great. It took a little time and effort but saved me a lot by not having to replace the glass.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after seeing a few YouTube videos, I was convinced. Sure there are kits that can be found at half the price (Per-ma-tex), but they're garbage. Buy once, cry once. This fixed our defroster tab that was broken in a used vehicle we just purchased. Only took about a half hour. Following the included directions and you'll be good. Highly recommended.
