The Norton Anthology of Poetry Paperback – 3 July 2018

Bought as a gift for a university student. Perfect for her literary studies

I can't write much of a review as this was bought as a gift. The recipient did report how happy they were with it, how it was the latest version and how brilliant it smelt. Don't ask!I'd say worth it!

It's a very good reference, but should not stand alone on a shelf. Don't get me wrong, it's a very strong collection and covers poems from the earliest forms of English, barely readable to modern eyes, right up to our parent's generation.My one misgiving is that it's more an Anthology of Poets than it is Poems. The vast majority of authors included have multiple entries. There are a lot of great poems, perhaps by authors who didn't write that many, which I didn't find included, and that's a bit of a shame.I just kinda wish there was a volume 2 for the authors who only ever wrote one poem which hit the mark.

Highly recommend this anthology of poetry. Fully comprehensive, with poets and poems you will have heard of and many you haven't.It is a very large and heavy book, but for the price it is a bargain when you look at what you get for your money.

She's a beaut; weighs a tone but it's brilliant - though would not recommend carrying it in a handbag :)

Came on time in very good conditon and in protective plastic which was a nice bonus since it is a very big book
