Works great. Fits perfectly.
The original starter on my 2006 duramax was old enough to vote, and it was going out. Actually it had been on its way out for several months, and I extended its life by beating on it with a crowbar. But there came a day when beating it didn’t get it working anymore, so I had to change it out. There are a number of YT videos that show how to do this, but the main tip is you’ll need about 2 feet of extensions on a socket to get the starter out. The ratchet handle will be just behind the radiator. The new one fit exactly like the original, and the truck starts easier now than it has for years. It’s an AC Delco, so it should last just as well as the original.

Great quality! No fitment issues for me. Make sure to install the back nut!
At first I believed what some reviews had said about how the new one had the bolts too close and how it was different than the old original one. I went ahead and ordered one bc the price was hard to beat and I figured I would trim the lug how some said they did. When I was installing the new one I think I figured out where those bad review people went wrong bc I almost messed up myself. I measured the post and they are not closer. The problem is that at first I did not notice that the old starter had another nut still installed behind where the big lug went. The old one was so greasy and dirty that it looked like part of the old post.So make sure that you take the back nut off the old one and install on the new one. See pic… I left it loose so you could see how it’s a separate nut. If you don’t install this nut, like I think others did not, then the big lug will be too close to the little wire stud and they will short out.See pic of it installed properly and see how if the back nut was not there what would happen. Hope this helps someone. I love how well the part worked and how much money I saved instead of going to the chain stores.

Trash
Bought this in October just recently installed on truck worked 6 good starts and then burnt up shows you have 1 year unlimited mile warranty but no way to contact anyone on it after the 30 day mark what a joke

Works better than the factory starter ever did!
Cranks way faster than the factory starter on my LMM, less than 1/2 the price of local parts stores. Hopefully it lasts as long as my previous starter (worked for 16 years 300,000 miles).I removed the wheel liner, wheel and exhaust clamp, for access and easy installation. The battery post is very close to the solenoid post, so I spaced the battery cable out with a nut from the previous starter (tip from an amazon reviewers Thank you S&G and Spong Bob)

Good Product
At first I had arking, sparking at the positive battery terminal and sounds from the starter motor. I was in the process to send back. I had a hard time believing it was defective, so I removed and bench tested and nothing (ark/spark). So I ran jumpers from the starter wires/connectors and connected the positive at the battery then touched the starter motor connections and had no arc/spark. So I reinstalled and made all the connections without any problems and it has been working fine and has for several days.Good delivery speed, packaged well and brand spanking new. I would purchase again.

Bad starter
Lasted exactly one year this is OEM part. I would expect it would last a lot longer than that. Is there any warranty?

Perfect replacement for my 2007 LMM Duramax. A bit tough to install but I knew that going in.
