Works well on deck
I got this to clean the leaves and dirt off my wood deck. I can't stand leaf blowers, plus they just blow the dirt further into the wood grain, so I sweep instead. The deck just isn't big enough to be a problem, even with my mobility issues.I was looking for a broom with bristles sturdy enough to get into the grain but flexible enough that they won't cause splinters (old deck). This is perfect!I gave it a 4 on the Light Weight rating because it has some heft, but I'm short so maybe it's not as bad if you're taller and can get better leverage. It's a great broom and I will use it for the concrete patio, as well.

Great Broom
The broom is as advertised. The bristles are strong enough for sweeping uneven concrete, and soft enough for indoor floors. The 18” size is great for the small corners around the patio. I do recommend this broom.

Great outdoor pusher broom
I had a wooden pusher broom which I kept a long time after its expiration time because I didn't think I could find an adequate replacement. Finally it came apart with no hope of putting it back together. I found this broom on Amazon and saw the good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I used it today to clear yard debris and dirt from my sidewalk. Worked like a charm. The bristles are firm and do the job. Very thorough removal and I'm talking about fine dirt. I did have to tighten the clamp that holds the handle to the bristles every so often because it loosens up a bit with use. Other than that very minor issue, I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend the broom.

Clears large areas quickly
I purchased the O-Cedar Professional Rough-Surface Push Broom mainly because I was pleased with my purchase of their wring mop system, plus I wanted a wide broom for cleaning up after mowing the lawn and gathering up fallen leaves and such from the walkways. This broom is a little awkward for me to use. I am not sure if it is because I am so short or because I am just used to a pulling motion, which I will sometimes revert to when using it. The head also, for me, tends to unscrew after a period of sweeping such that I have to stop and re-tighten it. This is contrary to advertisement. However, it could be because I am not that strong and thus not tightening it as much as it should be. But for clearing a large area quickly, it's great! The large head gathers large swatches of debris easily. It is a dream with leaves. I still have to go back over some areas with a regular broom, though, to pick up dirt/dust that seem to escape the push broom bristles. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. It has improved my ability to care for the outside areas of the home in timely fashion when I am able to.

Solid quality
I bought this for my dad after looking at his collection of repaired cobbled brooms he uses to the last bit of life in them. The weight is easy to handle and offers a good firm grip. The product line offers various bristle stiffness and durability depending on project needs, something I really found attractive as well as an easy connecting system for swap outs. The thick threaded collar does come loose with vigorous use though not annoyingly often. Perhaps some plumbers tape could help there. It being plastic,, I do hope there's a way to purchase the collar separately in case it one day cracks,, as the rest of the assembly looks to be made for life.. A great use of recycled materials and a long standing name. Definitely will buy again.

Excellent in industrial setting
We use two of these push brooms in a sand casting foundry where there is molding sand everywhere. These have lasted almost a year in a fairly extreme environment, and barring any misuse by my employees, I expect them to continue to last much longer.

Nylon Bristles With Sturdy Handle
I bought this push broom to clean normal debris -- leaves, mostly -- off my patio and to push soapy water across it when I need to clean the surface. I chose the 18" size for both maneuverability and fit between pieces of outdoor furniture. It works pretty well for those two purposes, although I'd like it more if the red nylon bristles were denser. Still, it doesn't let much get away. It comes unassembled and takes a minute to put together. It feels sturdy and well-made, built to last years under normal usage.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

It's a broom, it does what it's supposed to do
How do you rate a broom? It sweeps. The handle is nice and long, but not too long to make it unwieldy. It doesn't lose bristles. The brush head cleans easily with water. We use it in the garage (which my husband also uses as a shop and it picks up sawdust well). The size is nice--not the big professional janitorial size, but much larger than a regular house broom, As I said, it works.

Best broom ever!
Love it! Sweeps up the garage floor in a 10th of the time compared to a corn broom. What had I been waiting for?
