sera 32155 Sera Prefix Filter Media Reactor

The first canister I received had two baskets both marked "A". Because of this the canister wouldn't close. You need one "A" and one "B" for it to close and work properly. So I exchanged for same thing, hoping that it wouldn't happen again. The new canister arrived with the correct parts and has been working perfectly for over a month. No leaks at all. I have it connected inline with my Oase canister filter and I have it set up with one basket filled with ceramic rings and the other with crushed coral and filter floss. I like that it is very easy to disconnect, clean and reattach. Highly recommend. If you have leaks, check the seals and double check that you have baskets marked A and B for proper fitment.

It is transparent, which is a big plus for monitoring how dirty it gets. Screw cap is more reliable than plastic clips Chinese alternative has. I like the presence of the 2 compartments and the directed flow. My prefilter has no leaks.

Working great as prefilter for my canister. Sicce Whale 120 (140 GPH) runs it well with no noticeable flow drop. The in and out are 16/22mm tubing. I prefer this to the Sunsun HW 602/603 because the downpipe goes straight down and disperses water more evenly.

Would've gotten 5 stars if the hose connectors were a bit more sturdy in design. Other than that, I used this is as a media reactor.

I saw reviews about this item leaking. I figure they didn't use plumbing tapes or not fasten tigten enough. I used the tape and tightened it alright and it still leaked!! I just found out about this after using it for less than a month

Multiple attempts to get it sealed but doesn't seen to not leak otherwise would be a decent product

Works well but can be tricky to bleed when cleaning media/re-installing.

My chiller was running without a proper filter, I connected the pump to the reactor and that to the inlet of the chiller, worked a treat.
