Very tasty, but for the spicy enthusiast it's not all that hot.
I bought this based off of other reviews and knowing I have a pretty high tolerance for spice. I was looking for an alternative to hot sauces and cheap "chili flavored" oils. I like how you can really dress up a lot of Chinese and Korean soup dishes by using the chili oil as a float - It works well for that. The flavor is very versatile and doesn't adhere to any one cuisine. Definitely good on carnitas tacos, enchiladas, but also excellent on Chinese dishes as well. I could even see myself putting this on eggs and pizza even! The flavor overall is surprisingly mild and smokey. Has a bit of a paprika odor more so than raw chilis. The spice for me is actually tame, but it does open up your pores a bit, which is strange for me. It lacks a lot of sharpness that many hot sauces have, definitely more of a warming heat. That is my only disappointment really, I was hoping it'd be spicier. As a result, I end up using a lot of the stuff whenever I break it out, which is a shame considering how versatile and good it is and how often I want to use it.

Not as Hot/Spicy as Everyone Claims. Picture of chili peppers on Scoop would be 1/2 the jar.
I'm a bit disappointed with this chili/habanero oil. I wanted something that would rip my throat out, something hot and amazingly satisfying. Some reviewers claimed that the normal chili oil wasn't up to par but that the habanero chili oil was. Maybe I got a weak batch, I'm not certain, but I am certain that for nearly 15 dollars I could have done a lot better buying a ghost chili pepper sauce that would have delivered better results. When looking at the picture it looks thick, like there are ton of peppers in there. It's a bit deceiving, as a scoop like the one pictured would be nearly half the chili contents of the jar. It's mostly oil, cheap oil at that. I would not repurchase and am a bit disappointed by the rave reviews. It's so mild that I can add it to nearly anything and not feel the heat. I added to to several roasts, baked, and several soups. Neither had the kick I was looking for. I now use it for Chinese food and have added about 1/3 Cup of added chili flakes to the oil. This has helped a decent amount but should not have been needed.

~~ Just one teaspoon will give your meal some OOMPH! ~~
Enjoying hot and spicy foods, Richard added just one teaspoon to our chicken stir fry the first time we tried out this Roasted Chili Oil. Ooh lah lah! It was WARM! Tasted great though but a little too hot for our kids and definitely brought out some sweat on our brows!A natural food, the list of ingredients are:Sunflower Oil * Dried Chilies * Real Salt * Sesame Oil * Garlic PowderAlthough I cannot see it written on the jar I would recommend storing this in the refrigerator once opened. You will find that the chilies sink to the bottom of the jar. Shaking the jar does not work so use a spoon to really stir them up!I purchased this product at a 20% discount in return for an honest review. Yes, I had to pay shipping! Would we recommend this? Yes! Will we be using more of it? Yes! As a little goes a long way this jar should last us a while so with taking that in account, not that expensive. Thanks, Liz

this is more like a roasted salsa flavor you get in mexican food
Why are the words spicy, chilli, hot, and chilli again listed here? I was so excited to try this "artistan" and premium priced oil, but dude, there is nothing how about this. I gave this to three friends from all different ethnicities and all agreed, um, where is the spice? chilli flakes you get are hotter than this. this is more like a roasted salsa flavor you get in mexican food, but literally no spice. you're better off buying the chinese ones that are actually got some kick. the only thing I liked was the texture of the flakes, but what a dissapointment. but if you're the type that thinks a mcdonalds spicy chicken is actually spicy, sure, you might this is hot.

Savory and delicious!
I was looking for something similar to what I get in the Thai restaurant. Searched until I found this. It is so delicious, I can't help but put it on everything! I've already gone through 1 bottle. They need to make it in a large bottle. And the ingredients are simple and natural. I was looking in an Asian grocery, and the product they had there had scary ingredients. I think you will love this if you love spicy chili oil. You will find it cheaper to order on Chili Beak website, however.

Broken when shipped
I love this chili oil - it is seriously my favorite however the last time I got it, both jars were broken and leaking everywhere. There was no padding at all in the box (and these are glass jars!)

Not Sealed and Leaked All Over!
The jars are so tiny. About half the size of a small baby food jar. And they leaked everywhere! All inside the bag I had them in. Some got onto my new wood Christmas decorations because I placed them in the same bag. What a mess! Not very happy at all. They were not sealed with a clear band around the neck. I did dip my finger into the jar and besides having some heat, it is utterly tasteless. It's akin to thick oil that sits on your tongue. I would not buy again. No flavor and messy.

Great Stuff!
As a personal chef, I cook a lot of Asian Dishes and use this as a base: just add a bit of minced garlic, some fish sauce and some Tamari to liven up almost any Asian dish. Oh! it's great brushed on grilled meats during the last few minutes. For that, I don't add anything to it, just brush it on. Adds so much flavor to everything I've used it for
