Error
The picture of the plant cell has centrioles in it. Plant cells do not have animal cells. The text is good. It is a low lexile level, so my special education students were able to read it with ease.

Amazing book for all ages
This book was a hit with my kindergarten age granddaughter who was bored with the unit on plants her school send home this spring when all our schools closed. My husband who has a PhD in plant genetics was blown away that she she knew the parts of the plant cell and functions. He couldn’t believe I taught her that and then I showed him the book and he immediately ordered the complete set. So if you have a youngster who loves to learn this book will certainly grab their interest. Colorful and simple illustrations and very kid friendly.

We'll be buying the rest of the series
So glad I found this book! Starting a nature- based curriculum with my 4.5 year old (Exploring Nature With Kids) and this should be a fun addition.I can see us getting the other books in the series. Great companion to the beautifully illustrated kids science book- Nature Anatomy!

Great resource for the littles
Wonderfully explained and broken up. Even I, as an adult, could understand it. And I am no good with sciences ;)

Excellent books.
My 6 year old loves all the books by April Chloe Terrazas. Well written for the young future scientist.

... a clever and colourful way so the information is easy to retain
Lovely and very comprehensive overview of Botany (from plant cells to photosynthesis) - I will definitely look for the rest of this series as I was very impressed with how simply she explained quite complicated things and it was done in quite a clever and colourful way so the information is easy to retain. My 8 year old had absorbed a lot of the content on the first read.

Not for adults
Definitely not for adults. Massive font size, so not pages of information at all. You could get the whole book in a leaflet. Very disappointed.

Of all the books I've seen on this subject I find this the best in terms of how it's written (scientific, introducing proper vocabulary yet easy to comprehend). I also like that this more of a true introductory to botany. It holds information on both parts of plant and internal processes of the plant such as photosynthesis. I had to provide a slightly simplistic explanation but it was understandable considering I was reading to a JK child.Illustrations are "doodles". At first I did not like them thinking that they looked amateurish but after going through the book I actually found them to be well done, clear, big, colorful, attractive to kids. While I bought this book for my 5 y.o. son, my 9 y.o. daughter got interested in it as well.I look forward to getting other "Super Smart Science" books.
