Weapons of Warriors: Famous Antique Swords of the Near East Hardcover – July 13, 2012

A simply fantastic book containing some remarkable, one of a kind, swords. The most detailed, and close up photographs I've ever seen in close to 30 years of sword collecting. Plus, a wealth of written information about the swords, their owners, and the detailed techniques of making those weapons.

There is even a section on how swords are made. Many pull-out folded 2-page photos show many swords in detail. The photography is excellent as are the descriptions. If you have any Islamic swords such as shamshirs, kilijs, yataghans, or armor, this is the book to get.

absolutely breathtaking photography of amazing swords. My only criticisms are that the armour sections seemed a bit of an afterthought and that there could have been more written on some of the swords; especially their weights!
