Oakiwear Kids Waterproof Rubber Rain Boots with Easy-On Handles

I will only give one star. Other than perfect delivery, packaging & fit these were more than just disappointing. Bought them for 8 year old granddaughter for Christmas, we live in rural area & these were such a surprise and she was excited to get them for rainy season. Within 2 months they had split, so I thought I would just glue repair them but upon seeing them they had 10 splits. So, I thought maybe one bad pair. I returned them & ordered another pair, within two weeks they have two very large splits up the back, upon very close examination this isn't just something she did, like the others the material is simply faulty & unacceptable. Obviously I will return them & not re-purchase but will find another manufacturer. I can't recommend them. Very rare to receive an inferior product through Amazon. Fortunately Amazon has an amazing return policy & as previously mentioned they were perfectly packaged & arrived as expected. This is my first & only negative review of any product purchased through Amazon.

These were great, at first. They're super cute and my daughter loved them. However, after several months--less than a year!--my daughter began complaining of her feet being wet when she wore these and the insides would get drenched. At first I thought this was bc she was splashing and getting water in the boot over the edges but after watching her carefully I realized that couldn't be it. Upon closer examination, I found that the boots had cracked along the seams on either side of each boot, letting water just pour in and rendering them completely useless as rain boots. One might say that if I'd gotten a few months of use out of them, I'd gotten my money's worth. I'd say that considering we live in California (in a long term drought) and my daughter had worn these fewer than a total of *maybe* 20 days, I'd say I'd been seriously shortchanged. I did give them two stars because they were adorable while they lasted, but no more bc at the rate a toddler's foot grows, my daughter should have been able to outgrow these long before they failed in their purpose. Very disappointed!

After 1 month of casual use, two pairs of these boots have failed on each boot, rendering them useless. They split at the seam where the foot bends.

These boots are adorable and my daughter loved them! However, the rubber handles on the sides are already starting to tear. She has worn them a total of 3 times. They are not tight. She is in first grade, so she is fully capable of sliding her feet into a rain boot without much force. I'm totally disappointed in the quality of these boots. I would not buy them again. I would expect this sort of thing after a full season of use.

My 2 year old LOVES these rain boots! She wears them almost everywhere we go. I haven't noticed any issue with her walking or running in these, and they stay on really well. They seem to fit true to size. My daughter is a size 7, and I bought a size 7. They give a little room to grow, but not so much that they're falling off.

Update: As of June 25 these broke. I'm really frustrated especially since we have other Oakiwear products that have held up really well. I'm not exactly sure what the issue was with this particular boot. But they cracked right where the toe bends. I've tapped them up with duct tape for now, but we'll probably be going to replace these with a different brand.We really like our Oakiwear puffy coat, so I was a bit disappointed in these boots. My main concern is that the dark blue around the toe is already showing signs of scuffing. We haven't had these boots for that long. I know my son runs around a lot in his boots, but these are boots made for children. I would expect them to hold up better to scuffing. Our Western Cheif boots (that he grew out of) we wore for over a year and they don't look this scuffed. Perhaps going with a solid boot w/o the pattern would prevent the scuffing?Size fits as expected.

We had it less than 2 months before the inside lining started to peel away from the boot This was with average if not less than average use. That part was disappointing just because I thought this was a good brand with good quality. So far my kiddo has used it for about 5 months and they keep her feet dry. No cracks in the bottom.

Runs big. Soles are pretty stiff, not very flexible at all. I don’t understand how shoe designers forget that our human feet naturally bend when we walk... Cute pattern and colors. Photo is for size comparison of the size 4 Toddler boot next to a size 5/6 Speedo brand water shoe (which are a little big on my daughter)! Keeping them cuz they’re cute and will probably fit my daughter in a few months or so, but dissapointed because I bought them to fit her now, in her current size 4, and they don’t seem to sell any smaller size than that.
